UK Health Minister tests positive for Covid-19.
(Baonghean.vn) - The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK increased by 54 on March 10th, bringing the total to 373. The British Prime Minister convened an emergency Cobra committee meeting on March 9th to respond to the ongoing outbreak, and subsequently announced that the UK remains in the "containment" phase.

On March 11, Sputnik reported that British Health Minister Nadine Dorries, who is believed to have met with hundreds of people at Parliament over the past week and attended a party at 10 Downing Street with Boris Johnson, has been diagnosed with the new strain of coronavirus.
In a statement, Dorries said: “Thank you for all the well wishes. It’s pretty bad but I hope I’m now past the worst. More worried about my 84-year-old mother, who is staying with me and started coughing today. She will be tested tomorrow. Everyone please stay safe and remember to wash your hands often.”
According to The Times, Ms. Dorries felt unwell on March 6th, and the diagnosis was not confirmed until the night of March 10th. The British deputy minister is currently in isolation and is reportedly recovering.
Dorries, a key figure in drafting the coronavirus response bill, is believed to have contracted the virus from an unidentified individual while on duty at parliament and the Department of Health and Social Care last week.
The Times reports that officials are currently investigating who she has been in contact with since contracting the virus, including members of parliament.
As of March 10th, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases globally had exceeded 118,000, and the number of deaths had surpassed 4,200.
