"Any talk about Russia's possible return to the G8 cannot happen until Russia changes its position on the Crimea issue," May said in response to a question from Labour Party representative Ben Bradshaw.
Last week, at the G7 summit in Canada, US President Donald Trump declared that it was necessary to readmit Russia to the organization.
However, only Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte noted that he hopes to restore the G8 format with Russia among its participants.
