Australian Prime Minister declares victory.

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 10th, Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull officially declared that the ruling Liberal-National Coalition had won the recent parliamentary election.

Speaking to reporters, Prime Minister Turnbull stated: "Labour leader Bill Shorten called and congratulated me on my re-election as Prime Minister. We won the election."

Prime Minister Turnbull said, “I know many people may think I’m being overly sensitive, but I was genuinely moved when Bill Shorten called to congratulate me while I was holding my one-year-old granddaughter…It was really a reminder that all of us, both Bill and I, are entrusted with the future generation.”

During the phone call, opposition Labour Party leader Shorten acknowledged defeat in the July 2nd election. He also affirmed the Labour Party's readiness to work with Prime Minister Turnbull's government to find common ground and effectively fulfill its parliamentary function for the national interest.

According to Prime Minister Turnbull, politics is not for politicians or the media, but for the Australian people and future generations of Australia.
