Major General Pham Quoc Cuong has been appointed by the Prime Minister to the position of Commander of the Mobile Police Force, Ministry of Public Security.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has just signed a decision appointing Major General Pham Quoc Cuong, Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police Force, to the position of Commander of the Mobile Police Force (Ministry of Public Security), replacing Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Vuong, who retired last month.

Prior to becoming Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police Force, General Cương was the Deputy Director General of the General Department of Police for Administrative Management of Social Order.

The Mobile Police Command currently manages special forces, special operations forces, target protection forces, and forces for training and using service animals. The unit is tasked with developing operational plans to counter acts of sabotage against security, armed riots, terrorism, and hostage taking; dispersing illegal disturbances and demonstrations; and suppressing crimes involving weapons...
