Prime Minister offers condolences to family of pilot killed in Phu Yen

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent his deepest condolences to the relatives and family of the pilot student who had an accident this morning in Phu Yen.

The Government Office has just sent a telegram from the Prime Minister to the Ministry of National Defense, the People's Committee of Phu Yen province and press agencies regarding the L39 aircraft of the Air Defense - Air Force that crashed in Phu Yen province this morning, August 26.

The content of the telegram clearly stated: Regarding the L39 aircraft number 8705 of the 910th Air Force Regiment, Air Defense - Air Force, piloted by Sergeant Major, flight student Pham Duc Trung, born in 1994, from Van Phu, Nho Quan, Ninh Binh, performing training flight number 14 (Air target attack formation), taking off from Tuy Hoa airport at 8:45 a.m. on August 26, 2016.

About 5 minutes after takeoff, due to technical problems, the plane crashed in a field in Phuoc Loc village, Hoa Thanh commune, Dong Hoa district, Phu Yen province, about 4 km from the airport. According to initial reports, comrade Pham Duc Trung died.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent his deepest condolences to the relatives and family of the pilot who died and directed the Ministry of National Defense to focus on organizing an investigation, verifying and clarifying the cause of the incident and reviewing and inspecting all procedures in command, training, flight operations, ensuring aviation techniques, organizing lessons learned in ensuring flight safety, and preventing similar incidents from happening.

At the same time, implement policies well, visit and encourage relatives of the victims' families and organize a thoughtful funeral for the deceased comrade, and quickly overcome and resolve the consequences./.
