The Prime Minister offers condolences to the family of the pilot who died in the accident in Phu Yen.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc extended his deepest condolences to the relatives and family of the pilot trainee who died in an accident this morning in Phu Yen.
The Government Office has just issued a telegram from the Prime Minister to the Ministry of National Defense, the People's Committee of Phu Yen province, and the press regarding the L39 aircraft of the Air Defense-Air Force Command that crashed in Phu Yen province this morning, August 26th.

The telegram stated: Regarding L39 aircraft number 8705 of the 910th Air Regiment, Air Defense and Air Force Command, piloted by Sergeant Major Pham Duc Trung, born in 1994, from Van Phu, Nho Quan, Ninh Binh, performing training flight number 14 (Airborne target attack formation), taking off from Tuy Hoa airport at 8:45 AM on August 26, 2016.
Approximately 5 minutes after takeoff, due to a technical malfunction, the aircraft crashed in a field in Phuoc Loc village, Hoa Thanh commune, Dong Hoa district, Phu Yen province, about 4 km from the airport. According to initial reports, Comrade Pham Duc Trung perished.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc extended his deepest condolences to the relatives and family of the deceased pilot trainee and directed the Ministry of National Defense to focus on investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident, and to review and inspect all procedures in command, training, flight operations, and aviation technical maintenance. He also instructed them to learn from this experience in ensuring flight safety and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
At the same time, we must properly implement policies and regulations, visit and encourage the families of the victims, and organize a respectful funeral for the fallen comrade, while also quickly addressing and resolving the consequences of the incident.
