The Prime Minister arrives in Bangkok, Thailand.

This afternoon, the special aircraft carrying Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, arrived at Don Mueang Airport (Bangkok), marking the beginning of their official visit to Thailand.

Welcoming Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his wife, and the high-level Vietnamese delegation at the airport, on the Thai side were Deputy Prime Minister Prajin Juntong; Minister of Digital Economy and Society Pichet Durongkaveroj and his wife; Thai Ambassador to Vietnam Manopchai Vongphakdi, leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of the Royal Thai Air Force. On the Vietnamese side were the Chargé d'affaires ad interim of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, Pho Hoang Han, along with numerous officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand.

Right at Don Mueang Airport, the host country Thailand displayed a large sign with the words "Welcome to the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife on their official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand".

According to the visit program, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will hold talks with Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha; meet with the Chairman of the National Legislative Council of Thailand, Pornpetch Wichitcholchai; meet with the Chairman of the Privy Council of Thailand, Prem Tinsulanonda; receive the Chairman of the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association; meet with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand; attend and deliver the opening speech at the Vietnam-Thailand Business Forum; attend the opening of the Vietnam Goods Week at Lad Prao Trade Center; and visit and work with the Government of Nakhon Phanom province.

The Prime Minister is expected to meet with leaders of several leading Thai businesses such as AMATA Group, SGC Group, Big C and BJC Group, and Kasikorn Bank; as well as some Vietnamese expatriate businesspeople and business leaders from the Northeast region of Thailand.
