Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh meets with US President Joe Biden.
On November 12, 2022, within the framework of the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and related summits in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held discussions with US President Joe Biden.
The two leaders affirmed the importance and high priority given to the Comprehensive Partnership between the two countries; they agreed to strengthen exchanges and dialogue at all levels, especially at the high level, through various flexible forms. In the immediate future, both sides will coordinate to prepare well for the upcoming telephone conversation between General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and US President Joe Biden, and work towards a high-level visit between the two sides at an appropriate time and when conditions permit.

President Joe Biden proposed that the two countries continue to promote strong cooperation in the future, effectively utilizing areas of cooperation to deepen and enhance the relationship between the two countries, especially in areas of mutual benefit, and make a positive contribution to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed the invitation from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Nguyen Xuan Phuc to US President Joe Biden to visit Vietnam. President Joe Biden happily accepted the invitation and promised to arrange the visit at a time convenient for both sides.
