Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh pays respects to Comrade Khamtay Siphandone
On the morning of April 4th, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led a high-level delegation of the Vietnamese Government to the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Hanoi to pay respects to the former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President, and former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Signing the condolence book and expressing his sorrow over the passing of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the passing of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone is a great loss to the Party, State, and people of Laos.
The leaders and people of Vietnam have also lost a great friend and close comrade who always strived wholeheartedly for the revolutionary cause of the two brotherly countries of Laos and Vietnam, and for the special Vietnam-Laos relationship. Comrade Khamtay Siphandone was a pioneering leader, an outstanding and steadfast revolutionary who dedicated his entire life to the Lao revolutionary cause.
Highly appreciating the immense contributions of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone to the Vietnam-Laos relationship, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Vietnamese Government, extended his deepest condolences to the leaders of the fraternal Lao Government and the entire family of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone.
Earlier, on April 3rd, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a message to Comrade Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of Laos, expressing condolences on the passing of his father, Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President and former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on April 2nd, 2025.
