Prime Minister: Launching a nationwide movement to encourage people to compete in getting rich.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed the launch of a movement to encourage the creation of high-value literary and artistic works about exemplary individuals and "witnesses" of revolutionary history; and initiated a nationwide movement to encourage people to compete in getting rich.

This was one of the points raised by the Prime Minister at the 12th session of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council on the afternoon of June 28th.

The meeting focused on evaluating emulation and reward activities during the first six months of 2025 and determining directions and tasks for the last six months of the year.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Council, highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and positive contributions of the Council members; acknowledged and commended the ministries, departments, localities, organizations, and associations that have responded to, launched, and implemented the emulation movements practically and effectively.

The Prime Minister requested that in the coming period, patriotic emulation movements be further promoted, and a high-intensity emulation campaign be launched to achieve outstanding results in chào mừng (celebrating) major holidays and important political events of the Party, the State, the country, and the nation.

In particular, the Prime Minister noted the importance of preparing and organizing well the activities and emulation movements to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force's traditional day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security, and the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27th).

The head of the government requested continued research and improvement of the system of legal documents on emulation and commendation to suit the new situation of implementing a two-tiered local government, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency, linked with promoting decentralization and delegation of power, coupled with resource allocation, improving implementation capacity for localities and strengthening inspection and supervision.

The Prime Minister requested the successful organization of the 11th National Emulation Congress to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party; in which ministries, departments, and localities should proactively and actively organize emulation congresses at all levels and in all sectors, ensuring they are on schedule, practical, effective, and create a vibrant atmosphere of emulation.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister also directed the organization of a nationwide emulation movement to enrich the country and contribute to national development, building upon and developing existing emulation movements to effectively implement Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo on the development of the private economy.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to chair and coordinate with relevant ministries, sectors, and localities to organize a summary of the nationwide emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, with a deadline of August 31st.

The Ministry of Construction is chairing the summary meeting on the implementation of the intensive emulation campaign "500 days and nights of emulation to complete 3,000 km of expressways," to be completed before December 19th.

The Prime Minister directed the launch of a movement to encourage the creation of high-value literary and artistic works about exemplary individuals and "witnesses" of revolutionary history. This will contribute to the implementation of the national target program on cultural development, the development of the cultural industry, and the entertainment industry, thereby promoting a spirit of competition and meeting the cultural needs and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
