Prime Minister: The 80th anniversary exhibition was a resounding success, exceeding expectations.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition themed "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the exhibition had been a resounding success, exceeding expectations and shining with the spirit of "Unity - Wisdom - Strength - Glory - Pride in being Vietnamese."
On the evening of September 15th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition with the theme: "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness," held at the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh commune, Hanoi.
Attending the program were Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong, former member of the Politburo and former Standing Secretary of the Central Committee; Comrade Phan Dinh Trac, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee, and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, member of the Politburo and Standing Deputy Prime Minister; General Luong Tam Quang, member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security; Comrade Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Central Committee and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs; members of the Central Committee of the Party; leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; leaders of ministries, branches, and localities; distinguished guests representing countries and international organizations; and a large number of people, friends, and international tourists.
The Government Office received a Certificate of Commendation from the Prime Minister and the 'Outstanding Exhibition Space' award.
The exhibition showcasing the nation's achievements, "80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness," is a significant event in the series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd. With its unprecedented scale, rich content, and creative presentation, the exhibition has achieved record-breaking numbers, receiving enthusiastic reception from the people and making a profound impression on international friends.
At the closing ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other Party and State leaders presented Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to 36 collectives with outstanding achievements; and awarded prizes and congratulated the units that won the "Outstanding Exhibition Space" award at the Exhibition.
In particular, the Government Office was honored to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements. The Government Office's exhibition booth, "Government Office - 80 Years of Accompanying the Nation," was one of 15 "Outstanding Exhibition Spaces" from central ministries, departments, and agencies.
Together we will continue to write the glorious history of our nation.
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that after 19 vibrant and emotional days filled with activities and events rich in Vietnamese cultural identity, attracting over 10 million people from all over the country, overseas Vietnamese, and international guests, the "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" exhibition was a great success, exceeding all expectations.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the exhibition "80 Years of the Journey to Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms that the leadership of the Party is the leading factor determining all the successes of the Vietnamese revolution.
According to the Prime Minister, all exhibition spaces vividly recreate and honor the glorious revolutionary history and outstanding achievements of the country under the skillful and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam from its founding to the present day, especially in the 80 years since achieving national independence, unifying the country, and building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
Even the success of this Exhibition is thanks to the close attention and guidance of the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam; the decisive direction and management of the Government and the Prime Minister; and the extraordinary efforts of 28 central ministries and agencies, 34 localities, and more than 110 large corporations and leading companies nationwide. All of them demonstrated high determination, great effort, decisive action, and "rapid construction," clearly showing the spirit of "The Party has directed, the Government has agreed, the National Assembly has consented, the people have supported, and businesses have partnered – we only discuss doing, not retreating," working together to make the Exhibition a resounding success.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the exhibition "80 Years of the Journey to Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms the strength of national unity.
According to the Prime Minister, this is the source of the immense strength of the Vietnamese revolution, manifested in the teachings of beloved President Ho Chi Minh: "Unity, unity, great unity – Success, success, great success" and the spirit of "turning nothing into something, turning difficulties into ease, turning the impossible into the possible," which helped us win victories in protracted wars of resistance; overcome countless difficulties in the process of reform, integration and development; overcome crises, natural disasters, and epidemics, shining with the spirit of self-reliance and self-strength; and continuously consolidate the country's potential.
This exhibition also clearly demonstrates the spirit of national unity and solidarity, "comradeship and brotherhood," through its rich and vibrant content and captivating presentation, imbued with the unique culture of the 54 ethnic groups from all corners of our beloved country.
The Prime Minister stated that the exhibition "80 Years of the Journey to Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms the viewpoint that the people are the foundation and that the people make history.
All the exhibition content showcases the great achievements of the People throughout the revolutionary periods under the leadership of the Party and the management of the State. All activities in the exhibition are for the People and serve the People.
"We are deeply moved by the smiles, the glances, and even the tears of joy, excitement, and pride of the people who visited and enjoyed the modern exhibition spaces, the unique cultural and artistic programs, and the unique experiential activities. Approximately over 10 million people visited the exhibition, tens of millions watched via television and radio, and hundreds of thousands attended the vibrant and memorable music and art parties, leaving behind unforgettable impressions," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed.
The head of the government stated that the exhibition "80 Years of the Journey to Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms the significance and importance of combining national strength with the strength of the times, domestic strength with international strength, and close coordination between the central and local levels, and between the State and the people.
This spirit permeates all activities and exhibition spaces, from "Creating Development," "Innovating for Construction," "Aspiration for the Sky," to "For a Green Future," "Economic Locomotive," and "Startup for Nation Building," powerfully spreading the message about Vietnam and its people – intelligent, creative, ambitious, resilient, yet sincere, open, and hospitable; with a harmonious and skillful combination of internal and external forces, and between agencies and localities within the political system. This is also the source of the intellectual "miracles" and resilience of the Vietnamese people over the past 80 years, and reflects the aspiration of the Vietnamese people to soar high and reach far in the new era.
According to the Prime Minister, the exhibition "80 Years of the Journey to Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms the truth of national independence linked with socialism and elevates Vietnamese intelligence.
Through the vivid recreation of historical evidence, the Exhibition presents a comprehensive, profound, and all-encompassing picture of the great achievements of the revolutionary struggle for national independence and the building of socialism by the Party, State, and people of Vietnam throughout various periods. The more difficult and challenging the circumstances, the clearer we see the correctness and wisdom of the path of national independence and socialism as an objective necessity, appropriate to Vietnam's situation and the international context, a path chosen by our beloved President Ho Chi Minh and the Party. Each image, each artifact, each document, and each material at the Exhibition reflects and portrays the extraordinary intellect of Vietnam, the courageous, resilient, creative, and compassionate Vietnamese people, and the scientific and technological projects that have brought Vietnamese intelligence to the same level as the world.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the exhibition "80 Years of the Journey to Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms the rich cultural identity of the Vietnamese nation, the resilience, intelligence, and creativity of the Vietnamese people; and at the same time clearly demonstrates the fervent patriotism and unwavering faith of the people in the Party, the State, and the revolutionary cause and the renewal cause of our Party and people.

In particular, this exhibition clearly demonstrated the allure, the refined beauty, and the harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, connecting a glorious past with a resilient present and a bright future; built on a foundation of digitalization, applying new technologies with the extraordinary creativity of Vietnamese intellect.
All exhibition spaces harmonized, creating a cohesive picture that was both deeply rooted in glorious historical traditions and imbued with profound cultural and humanistic values. This was presented in a vibrant setting with lively sounds, dazzling lights, and a modern yet distinctly national character, captivating visitors. Security and safety were ensured throughout the exhibition, contributing to motivation, inspiration, and strength, allowing us to confidently and proudly tell international friends that Vietnam is an independent, free, and happy country, confidently moving forward into an era of prosperous, civilized, and happy development.
The high-altitude fireworks display in Dong Anh, Hanoi, concluded the National Achievements Exhibition after 19 days of opening.

According to the Prime Minister, the success of the "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" Exhibition is a good start for upcoming major events and large-scale national, regional, and international music festivals in the future. The Prime Minister stated that the Autumn Fair 2025 is expected to take place in October this year at the National Exhibition Center – a place where the spirit of innovation, creativity, cooperation, and development will continue to be ignited and spread further.
