Promoting cooperative relations between Nghe An and Binh Phuoc

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 20th, in Vinh City, the Binh Phuoc provincial delegation held a working meeting with the leaders of Nghe An province. Attending the meeting was Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet - former member of the Politburo and former President of Vietnam.

The leaders of Binh Phuoc province included: Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Huynh Thi Hang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Tue Hien - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee;...

The leaders of Nghe An province included: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with other members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and representatives from several departments and agencies.

During the meeting, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong - Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee provided information on the socio-economic situation of each province in the past period; and the orientation and vision for future development. Based on this, they emphasized promoting cooperative relations between the two localities.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Manh Cuong, congratulated Nghe An on its achievements in recent times and wished the province success in achieving its goal of becoming a prosperous province in the Northern region, as well as the whole country.

During the meeting, the Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee expressed his desire for the two provinces to strengthen sharing and exchange in various fields and coordinate on many activities to develop together; in particular, Binh Phuoc learned many valuable lessons from Nghe An province's approach to the socialization of healthcare and education.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Thai Thanh Quy, congratulated Binh Phuoc province on its achievements, especially in attracting investment.

The head of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee expressed confidence that in the coming time, Binh Phuoc province will continue to make new strides in development, especially when the expressway systems connecting to Binh Phuoc province are completed.

After listening to reports from the Party Secretaries of Nghe An and Binh Phuoc provinces on the local economic and social situation over the past period, former President Nguyen Minh Triet remarked that, despite facing many difficulties, Nghe An and Binh Phuoc have leveraged their potential and advantages, and their future prospects show signs of improvement.

In particular, the staff is becoming increasingly mature; the policy mechanisms are very proactive, especially the administrative procedure reform which has made positive progress; and the basic path forward is now clear.

Based on that assessment, Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet expressed confidence that the two provinces of Nghe An and Binh Phuoc would develop even further, as Nghe An province possesses many favorable conditions in terms of transportation: air, seaports, railways, roads... Although Binh Phuoc's transportation conditions are not as favorable, it has the advantage of being close to Ho Chi Minh City - the economic, financial, commercial, and service center of the country.

Based on that reality, former President Nguyen Minh Triet expressed his hope that cooperation between Nghe An and Binh Phuoc provinces, and between the two provinces and other provinces and cities, would continue to develop.

Sharing in the joy of the achievements of Nghe An and Binh Phuoc provinces, and also sharing in the challenges they are facing, Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet hoped that the Party committees, governments, and people of the two provinces would continue to uphold their traditions of learning and revolution, overcome all difficulties, and succeed in achieving their set development goals.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Thai Thanh Quy, respectfully thanked former President Nguyen Minh Triet; and expressed the hope that he would continue to contribute, encourage, and support Nghe An province to achieve new levels of development in the future.

The Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also expressed his hope that the cooperative relationship between Nghe An and Binh Phuoc would become increasingly close, sharing and developing together, as envisioned by Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet's trust in the two provinces.
