Promoting tourist exchanges from Gwangju City (South Korea) to Nghe An Province.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Gwangju Famtrip delegation was organized to survey tourist destinations, thereby soon forming a suitable tour chain to serve Korean tourists visiting Nghe An.
Implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation between Nghe An province and Gwangju city (South Korea) in the field of tourism, from July 20-23, the Gwangju city government and the Gwangju City Tourism Association organized a Famtrip to survey several tourist destinations in Nghe An and discuss solutions to promote the opening of charter flights between South Korea and Nghe An and vice versa.
Welcoming and working with the delegation were representatives from the Department of Tourism, the Department of Transport, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, the Tourism Association, and representatives from relevant agencies, localities, units, and tourism businesses.

The Gwangju Famtrip delegation was organized to survey tourist destinations, specifically focusing on resort, wellness, and golf tourism products in Nghe An province, as well as some tourism products connecting to the Muong Thanh Greenland Xuan Thanh golf course (Ha Tinh province). The aim is to quickly establish a suitable tourism tour chain to serve Korean tourists visiting Nghe An and to attract tourists from Gwangju city in particular, and Korea in general, to experience services in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
During their stay in Nghe An, the delegation surveyed sites such as the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site, Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Dan); Cua Lo beach, Cua Lo golf course, Muong Thanh Greenland Dien Lam golf course, Meyresort Bai Lu (Nghi Loc); Ho Chi Minh Square and the Ho Chi Minh Monument, Vinh Ancient Citadel gate, Emperor Quang Trung temple, pedestrian street and night food street (Vinh city) and services at high-end hotels and restaurants meeting tourist standards in Nghe An. At the same time, the delegation surveyed shopping areas for tourists, the Sen Que Bac Cooperative's craft village and experienced the local culinary culture…
Mr. Seon Sugh yeon – President of the Gwangju City Tourism Association (South Korea) – said that the delegation positively assessed the quality of the golf courses, 4-5 star hotels, shopping services at Lotte supermarket, and dining at some restaurants in Vinh City and Cua Lo Town. Following the trip, the delegation will work with the Gwangju and Muan city governments to study the conditions for opening a charter flight route to bring tourists to Nghe An for golf and tourism.

The survey team also suggested that Nghe An province should conduct further research on beach tourism in Cua Lo town to enhance services during the winter season. In addition, the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site is a very valuable destination and should be further developed with traditional craft villages and souvenir products made from wood and other materials close to nature.
During the survey program, the Famtrip delegation held a discussion and brainstormed solutions for organizing a charter flight between Gwangju, Muan, and Nghe An. Both sides agreed to continue researching and advising the respective governments to promptly propose to higher authorities for consideration of support regarding legal procedures and funding to open the route and help promote effective tourism cooperation between the two localities.
Looking ahead, the delegation members hope that Nghe An province will continue to promote Nghe An tourism in South Korea and encourage Nghe An businesses to open local restaurants, introduce golf services in Nghe An to enhance exchange and connection to serve tourists, and focus on training in English and Korean languages for service at tourism establishments.
