Implementing Directive 17: Disciplinary action taken against 2 collectives and 247 individuals.
(Baonghean.vn) - Continuing the regular meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee in January 2019, on the afternoon of January 2nd, delegates heard a report on the results of the 5-year implementation of Directive 17-CT/TU dated December 3rd, 2013 on strengthening administrative discipline and order in agencies and units in the province.
According to the report, in the past period, Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, and units have paid attention to leading, directing, and organizing the effective implementation of administrative discipline, public service ethics, and the exemplary responsibility of cadres and Party members, making an important contribution to the fulfillment of tasks related to economic and social development, national defense, security, foreign affairs, and Party building of the province.

Directive 17, upon its issuance, received widespread support and was implemented quickly, regularly, and voluntarily by cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees, contributing to building trust among the people.
The exemplary role and responsibility of leaders and key officials in implementing socio-economic development, national defense and security, and Party building and political system building tasks in many localities and units have been demonstrated and have had a positive impact on the training and preservation of the qualities and character of cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees.
Besides the achievements, the leadership and guidance in implementing Directive 17 in some agencies and units have at times lacked decisiveness; some Party committees and localities have not paid sufficient attention to summarizing and evaluating the results of the 5-year implementation of Directive 17 and have not fully reflected the results of implementation in their localities and units.

Through the implementation of Directive 17, agencies and units have strictly handled cases of violations related to administrative discipline, order, and public service ethics of officials and Party members throughout the province.
Accordingly, 2 groups and 247 individuals were subjected to disciplinary action, including dismissal, warning, reprimand, demotion, self-criticism, and admonishment.
Concluding this discussion, the Provincial Party Secretary agreed with the solutions outlined in the report. The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the most important aspect of implementing Directive 17 is supervision and enforcement; the Provincial Inspection Committee, the Provincial Inspectorate, and Party committees at all levels need to effectively carry out inspection and supervision; and specific implementation plans should be developed for each year.
