Although he is a farming household, Mr. Pham Ba Hoa's family in Hamlet 5, Thanh Ngoc Commune, Thanh Chuong District, normally only raises around a thousand chickens. However, recognizing the essential market demand, he focused on increasing his flock near Tet (Lunar New Year), selecting chickens with delicious, flavorful meat to raise for consumers during the holiday. This Tet season, he has over 2000 chickens available for the market.

It's not just Mr. Hoa's family; currently, Thanh Ngoc commune in Thanh Chuong district has over 60 farms and livestock breeding facilities. These mainly raise chickens and pigs, with each farm having over 500 chickens and each household having at least 20 to over 200 pigs.

Thanks to its hilly terrain, Thanh Chuong has long had many concentrated livestock farming areas. According to incomplete statistics, the entire district currently has 355 farms and family farms. Of these, 33 farms meet the criteria according to Circular 27 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The district has also established many chicken farms, aiming to build the Thanh Chuong chicken brand.

Besides pork and chicken, many localities have also focused on preparing clean vegetables. Thanh Van commune, one of the localities with a tradition of growing vegetables, annually supplies about 50% of the clean vegetables to the district market. Currently, the entire commune has over 40 hectares of various vegetables, beans, and spices. Thanks to relatively favorable weather, the area of ​​clean vegetables is developing well.

Thanh Chuong also has tea, oranges, and black olives. The products of Thanh Chuong farmers supplied to the market are currently very attractive to city dwellers.
