Male aphrodisiacs cause penile erection from the mechanical action of the urinary tract or bladder. Male aphrodisiacs lead to drug dependence and decreased sperm quality.

Associate Professor Nha further analyzed that some types of aphrodisiacs in the cantharidin group, when taken orally, will stimulate the bladder and always make you want to urinate. It stimulates the urethra, causing an erection of the penis, however, if used too much, it will gradually cause loss of sensation in the penis and lead to impotence.On the other hand, using this drug too much will affect sperm quality and cause infertility.

Aphrodisiacs containing alkyl nitrites are vasodilators, increasing blood flow to the penis, causing an erection. However, they also dilate the coronary arteries. Excessive use can cause shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, and eventually lead to heart failure and coronary insufficiency.

Therefore, Associate Professor Nha recommends,Patients with erectile dysfunction should not use aphrodisiacs but should see a specialist for appropriate treatment. Absolutely do not use products that are floating on the market.

Erectile dysfunction drugs are drugs that treat erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation or impotence by regulating endogenous enzymes in the body, helping the erectile mechanism regain balance. It is used before sex, helping to get an erection but it is safer than aphrodisiacs. Sometimes it has side effects. However, this is also a drug so it needs a prescription from a specialist.
