Speaking to us, actor Thuong Tin said that he currently lives with musician To Hieu in Ho Chi Minh City. To Hieu connects him with shows and provides support when he performs.

According to Thuong Tin, singing is like a "quick fix" when he's not acting in films, helping him earn extra income to cover his living expenses. "I've been singing for a long time now, and I'm not rich, but I can still make ends meet," he said.

Regarding his performance fee, Thuong Tin said it depends on the revenue of the organizing unit, but it usually ranges from 3-5 million VND. Besides performing in Ho Chi Minh City, the actor also performs in the Mekong Delta provinces. He even has upcoming invitations to perform in Northern Vietnam and Thailand.

"Audiences don't embrace me as a singer, but rather because of the films I've been in. They're impressed by my roles; they like me and want to meet me, not just to hear me sing," he shared.

Thuong Tin said that thanks to his singing fees, he occasionally has money to send back to his wife and children in his hometown.

Thuong Tin said that, given the audience's affection, he couldn't just come in, say a few words, and leave, but instead sang a few songs as a gift to everyone. Thuong Tin said his health has improved and he no longer has to worry about rent when living with musician To Hieu.

Contacting musician Tô Hiếu, he confirmed that Thương Tín is currently living with him. Tô Hiếu added that a Thai organization has contacted him with an invitation to perform, but he needs to assess Thương Tín's health and obtain a passport before accepting the offer.
