The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held its regular October meeting.
On the afternoon of October 29th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held its regular monthly meeting to review the results of activities in October and discuss and agree on tasks for November. Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - presided over the meeting.
Attending the regular session were Comrade Bui Thanh An - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee and Permanent Members of the Provincial People's Council; and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and participating delegates discussed preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; preparations for the 33rd session (special session) of the 18th Provincial People's Council; a report on citizen petitions in October 2025; an assessment of the results of activities in October; and discussions and agreement on tasks for November 2025.
In October, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council heard and commented on adjustments to the list of resolutions, issued notices convening the session, and assigned the task of reviewing draft resolutions to be submitted to the 33rd session of the Provincial People's Council. They also conducted thematic supervision on sustainable poverty reduction, monitored the resolution of outstanding voter petitions, and surveyed the implementation of health insurance policies in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Attending citizen receptions, reviewing and urging the resolution of petitions and complaints, meeting with voters, editing the Provincial People's Council Yearbook, and submitting periodic reports on the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
Preparing for elections, developing a plan for the accountability session in the last six months of the year, developing a plan for the regular session at the end of 2025, attending the Provincial Party Congress, and participating in the two-level government working groups.
Speaking at the session, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - expressed his agreement with the draft report on the implementation of tasks in October, while also noting some key tasks for November, focusing on preparing for the year-end regular session and the thematic session, ensuring the quality of draft resolutions and reports.
In addition, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also emphasized the thematic supervision of the sustainable poverty reduction program and the handling of voters' petitions, while noting the importance of communicating and handling complaints and denunciations strictly and according to procedures.
Acknowledging the progress in monitoring petitions and complaints by the Provincial People's Council Office, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu requested the immediate implementation of the document management and operational software that had just been trained on. All petitions, requests, and related tasks must be fully updated on the system to facilitate real-time monitoring and follow-up for timely processing.
