The Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee directed the implementation of the election of the 16th National Assembly and representatives of People's Councils at all levels.
At the meeting on December 30, 2025, after hearing the report from the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee - the Standing Agency of the Provincial Election Steering Committee - on the progress of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in the province, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee concluded:
In agreement with the content of the report of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, and at the same time requesting Party committees, governments, the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations at all levels, sectors, localities, agencies and units, according to their functions and duties, to focus on leading, directing and effectively implementing the following tasks:
1.The provincial election committee and relevant agencies and units, based on their functions and duties, shall carefully prepare the report content, coordinate the development of the work program, and ensure other necessary conditions to serve the inspection and supervision delegation of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the National Election Council.
2.The Provincial Election Committee is urgently developing a plan and establishing inspection and supervision teams to monitor the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in communes and wards throughout the province. The inspection and supervision plan must be divided into several phases, clearly defining the start and end times; the content of the inspection and supervision must be comprehensive and cover all tasks of the election process as stipulated by election law and guiding documents from the Central and Provincial authorities. At the end of each inspection and supervision phase, the teams will report their results to the Provincial Election Committee for compilation and reporting to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Election Steering Committee.
3.Adhere closely to the work content and timelines stipulated by the National Election Committee for implementation; establish election committees in electoral units, ensuring that candidates for election in a particular electoral unit are not members of the election committee in that unit. Simultaneously, plan the allocation of candidates in each electoral unit according to the principle of ensuring a balance between central and local representatives.(for elections)deputy(Parliament)between representatives of the province and representatives of the commune level(for elections)deputyProvincial People's CouncilTo ensure the best possible results in the selection of National Assembly and Provincial People's Council representatives, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee, and the Provincial Election Steering Committee should report to the competent authorities for their opinions before submitting the list of candidates for election in each constituency to the relevant agencies for approval and announcement.
4.The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies and units to effectively carry out the consultation process for selecting and nominating candidates for the National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council, ensuring compliance with legal regulations; participates in monitoring the election process in accordance with regulations; and promptly detects, reports, and recommends solutions to any difficulties encountered during the consultation process.
5.Members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and members of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, as assigned by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.(as per Decision No. 260-QD/TU, dated December 10, 2025)Strengthen leadership, guidance, inspection, supervision, and urging of communes and wards to strictly implement the regulations of the Party and the State on election work, especially the structure, composition, number, and quality of candidates for the People's Council in the 2026-2031 term in communes and wards.
