The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee visited, presented gifts, and extended New Year greetings to the SOS Children's Village in Vinh.

On the afternoon of February 11th, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee visited, presented Tet gifts, and attended a year-end meal at the SOS Children's Village in Vinh in preparation for the upcoming Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse).

Attending the program were: Comrade Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; along with other members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives from various departments and agencies.

Upon arriving at the SOS Children's Village in Vinh, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee immediately visited family number 4.

Here, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than and other members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee cordially inquired about each family member, from daily meals to living space, beds, books, and school supplies for the children.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than and other members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee expressed their deep emotion upon witnessing the dedicated care and attention of the teachers and caregivers towards the children, demonstrating their affection and responsibility towards them. They were even more proud to have produced Doctors, Masters, and Meritorious Artists who have grown up in this environment.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than and other members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee expressed their deep gratitude to the teachers, mothers, and all those who have accompanied and cared for the children. He urged that, in addition to the dedicated guidance of parents and teachers, the children should also learn to support and assist each other in their studies and daily lives, gradually growing into mature individuals.

Established on May 19, 1990, to commemorate the 100th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the SOS Children's Village Vinh has the mission of caring for orphaned and abandoned children.

The Children's Village is organized on a "young family" model, with each family consisting of a volunteer mother and 6 to 8 children. In addition, the Village has two youth dormitories for boys aged 14 and older.

After 34 years of operation, the Village has cared for a total of 833 children, of whom 524 have grown up, many of whom are Doctors, Masters, and Meritorious Artists; 253 have graduated from universities and colleges.

Currently, the Village directly cares for 129 children, including 68 children living in 10 young families, 33 children in youth dormitories, and 28 children attending universities, colleges, and vocational schools.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than and other members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee presented Tet gifts, extended New Year greetings, and shared a year-end meal with the children being cared for, nurtured, and educated at the SOS Children's Village; along with the teachers, mothers, and staff of the SOS Children's Village Vinh.

Continuing the fine traditions of the nation for generations, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse), in response to the call of the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, TH Group, the Fund for Vietnamese Stature, and Bac A Bank have donated 5 billion VND, joining hands to bring warm and loving Tet holidays to disadvantaged people, policy beneficiary households, and poor households, through the "Tet for the Poor" program.

In addition to cash, the three organizations also provided the villagers with fresh, clean milk and healthy beverages. These gifts offered meaningful encouragement, helping the villagers overcome some of their difficulties and enjoy a warmer, more fulfilling Tet holiday.

The annual Tet (Lunar New Year) charity activities for the poor by TH Group, the Foundation for Vietnamese Stature, and Bac A Bank are implemented not only in Nghe An but also in many other provinces and cities nationwide, affirming the mission of serving the community and the commitment to contributing to the sustainable development of society.
