Chau Thang Hydropower Plant (Que Phong) regulates reservoir levels.
PRIME Que Phong Joint Stock Company has just announced its plan for regulating water levels in the Chau Thang hydroelectric reservoir. The expected time for water release is 1 PM today, September 7th.
Accordingly, at 7:00 AM, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received notification No. 04/TB-POP dated September 7, 2024, from PRIME Que Phong Joint Stock Company regarding the operation and water regulation of the Chau Thang hydroelectric reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from the Chau Thang hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir operating procedures on the Ca River basin, PRIME Que Phong Joint Stock Company announces the following planned water regulation operation schedule for the Chau Thang hydropower reservoir:
Expected discharge time:13:00 on September 7, 2024.
Discharge rate:Total discharge flow rate from 74m3/s : 350m3/s (including discharge flow through the sluice gates and power generation flow through the turbines) and may vary depending on the level of water inflow into the reservoir.
Discharge completion time:Until the effects of the heavy rains caused by typhoon number 3 have subsided.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense announces to: the People's Committees of Que Phong and Quy Chau districts; the heads of provincial departments and agencies; and the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of the Ban Mong Reservoir project, so that they may inform all levels of government, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of the Chau Thang Hydropower Plant to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
