The World Economic Forum has just released a new ranking of global competitiveness.
Accordingly, the top three positions in the rankings after one year remain unchanged. Switzerland is in first place, Singapore is in second place, and the United States is in third place.
Russia moved up two places from last year, coming in at 43rd. Russia is now one place above Italy in the rankings.
Economists note the improvement in the quality of education and the business environment in Russia. In addition, analysts also believe that Russia is gradually moving away from its dependence on natural resources and towards developing advanced technology. In particular, Russia has had certain successes in the fight against corruption.
At the same time, WEF also pointed out that inflation is one of the main factors hindering economic development in Russia.
