The news that Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was prosecuted and temporarily detained has shocked public opinion. The biggest question from the public is about the fate of the movie Chot Don, a project in which Thuy Tien plays the female lead.
The news that Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was prosecuted and temporarily detained on May 19 for “Deceiving customers” has shocked public opinion. This is the latest development in the process of expanding the investigation into the case of fake food production and false advertising related to Asia Life Joint Stock Company and Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company.
In addition to Thuy Tien, four other individuals were also prosecuted in the same case, including famous figures such as Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang “Numu”. These people were accused of participating in the production and business of Kera vegetable candy, a functional food that was concluded to be counterfeit and deceiving consumers.
Previously, Miss Thuy Tien was temporarily suspended from leaving the country by Dak Lak Province Police to serve the investigation because of her involvement in promoting Kera products.
Immediately after the news of her arrest spread, one of the biggest questions from the public was about the fate of the movie Chot Don, a project in which Thuy Tien played the female lead role.

Chot Don was originally scheduled to be released on March 8, 2025, but was postponed to June due to post-production issues. Now that Thuy Tien is in trouble with the law, the film’s future is even more uncertain. Many viewers have expressed concern that the film could be “shelved” or forced to change its entire release strategy.
The case not only puts a question mark on Thuy Tien's personal career, but also directly affects the artistic projects she has participated in.
The public is still waiting for an answer from the producer about the next course of action for the film Chot Don, while the controversy surrounding Thuy Tien's role in the Kera candy case has yet to subside.
