Actively disseminate information and promote activities commemorating the 10th anniversary of Nghe Tinh folk songs being recognized by UNESCO.

On the morning of November 6th, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Provincial Journalists Association jointly organized the October 2024 Press Briefing Conference.

At the conference, Ms. Quach Thi Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, provided information on several activities to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Nghe Tinh folk songs being inscribed by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The People's Committee of Nghe An province has issued a plan to organize commemorative activities to concretize the action program for protecting and promoting the value of the heritage and fulfilling the Vietnamese Government's commitment to UNESCO. These activities include many unique and attractive events such as: a competition for composing and writing lyrics for Nghe Tinh folk songs; a festival showcasing intangible cultural heritage of Vietnam inscribed by UNESCO; and a national conference and workshop to evaluate the work of preserving and promoting the value of Nghe Tinh folk songs.

Particularly on this occasion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed the organization of the exhibition "Colors of Vietnamese Cultural Heritage, Nature and Traditional Handicrafts". This cultural activity celebrates Vietnam Heritage Day (November 23), aiming to introduce, promote, and honor the cultural and natural heritage, historical relics, scenic spots, and traditional handicrafts of Vietnam.

At the conference, the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports expressed his hope that in the future, media agencies would cooperate with these activities to help spread the value of Nghe Tinh folk songs and affirm the potential for cultural and tourism development in Nghe An province.

Evaluating press activities in October 2024, Mr. Nguyen Ba Hao, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, stated that press agencies continued to publish numerous articles and reports promoting the work of Party building and rectification; highlighting the significant achievements and milestones over the past four years of the 2020-2025 term; and affirming the determination of the Party committee and government in implementing the goal of making Nghe An a relatively prosperous province nationwide.

In addition, the press has also addressed several issues such as: difficulties in the aquaculture sector; inadequacies at fishing ports; slow repair of flood control structures; proposals for solutions to promote the development of craft village tourism; unsafe land exploitation in Dai Son commune, Do Luong district; safety risks in dilapidated apartment buildings;...

In addition, issues related to the field of education are also reflected and updated quickly and promptly by the press, such as: public opinions on the issue of excessive fees at educational institutions, the policy of drawing lots for the third exam subject for grade 10, etc.

Regarding the November propaganda orientation, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested that media agencies continue to promote the results of the 10th Central Committee Meeting of the 13th Party Congress, the preparations for the 14th Party Congress; and the results of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly… In particular, media agencies should focus on implementing Plan No. 278-KH/TU, dated October 14, 2024, of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the propaganda of Party Congresses at all levels, the 20th Provincial Party Congress, and the 14th National Party Congress.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also requested that media agencies continue to promote information on the implementation of the Project to expand the administrative boundaries and urban space of Vinh City; the Project to expand the Southeast Economic Zone; and the Project to reorganize administrative units.

In addition, November also features many important events and holidays that need to be prominently publicized, such as: the 107th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (November 7, 1917 – November 7, 2024); the 204th anniversary of the birth of Friedrich Engels (November 28, 1820 – November 28, 2024); Law Day 2024 (November 9); the founding day of the Vietnam National United Front and the National Solidarity Day (November 18); the 78th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (November 23, 1946 – November 23, 2024); the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (November 18, 1930 – November 18, 2024); Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20); and Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
