During the afternoon training session on March 12th at the Vietnam U22 Football Training Center, striker Nguyen Dinh Bac suffered a serious injury after a collision.
He was diagnosed with a fracture of the fifth toe on his right foot. According to the medical team, he may need up to nine months for treatment and recovery, meaning there is a high risk he will be unable to participate in the 33rd SEA Games held at the end of the year in Thailand.

This injury not only affects his ability to participate in the SEA Games 33 but also forces Dinh Bac to prematurely end his 2024/2025 season. Prior to this, he had played 15 matches for Hanoi Police Club, including 9 starts and scoring 1 goal. For a player not yet 21 years old, this is encouraging. His absence is a significant loss for both Hanoi Police Club and the Vietnam U22 team in upcoming important tournaments.

This is not the first time Dinh Bac has suffered a serious injury. In April 2024, during Vietnam U23's opening match against Kuwait U23 at the 2024 AFC U23 Championship, he suffered a ligament injury in his right ankle after attempting a tackle. This injury forced him to leave the field after only 5 minutes of play and required a long recovery period.
Subsequently, Dinh Bac had to leave the Vietnamese national team again due to an ankle injury sustained during a training camp in South Korea in preparation for the 2024 ASEAN Cup.
