Striker Nguyen Dinh Bac seriously injured
During the afternoon practice session on March 12, striker Nguyen Dinh Bac suffered a serious injury after a collision.
During the afternoon training session on March 12, at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center of the Vietnam U22 team, striker Nguyen Dinh Bac suffered a serious injury after a collision.
He was diagnosed with a fracture in the fifth toe on his right foot. According to the medical team, he may need up to nine months of treatment and recovery, meaning there is a high risk of not being able to participate in the 33rd SEA Games taking place later this year in Thailand.

This injury not only affects his ability to participate in the 33rd SEA Games but also forces Dinh Bac to say goodbye to the 2024/2025 season early. Before that, he played 15 matches for the Hanoi Police Club, including 9 starting matches and scoring 1 goal. For a player who is not yet 21 years old, that is encouraging. His absence is a big loss for both the Hanoi Police Club and the Vietnam U22 team in the upcoming important tournaments.

This is not the first time Dinh Bac has suffered a serious injury. In April 2024, in the opening match of U23 Vietnam against U23 Kuwait at the 2024 AFC U23 Championship, he damaged his right ankle ligament after trying to tackle the ball. This injury forced him to leave the field after only 5 minutes of play and took a long time to recover.
After that, Dinh Bac continued to have to say goodbye to the Vietnamese team, due to an ankle injury during a training trip in Korea to prepare for the ASEAN Cup 2024./.
