Striker Nguyen Tien Linh wins the 2024 Vietnamese Golden Ball award.

On the evening of February 26th, the 2024 Ballon d'Or awards ceremony took place in Ho Chi Minh City.

Becamex Binh Duong striker Nguyen Tien Linh has officially been honored with the 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball award. This is the first time he has received this prestigious award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to both his club and the national team throughout the past year.

Wearing the Binh Duong jersey, Tien Linh has completed his 10th season playing in the V-League. He has scored a total of 67 goals, becoming one of the most effective domestic strikers in the league. In 2024 alone, he scored 10 goals in the V-League, leading the list of top domestic goalscorers.

On the international stage, at the 2024 AFF Cup, Tien Linh performed outstandingly with 4 goals and 2 assists in 8 matches, playing a crucial role in helping the Vietnamese national team win the championship. On average, he scored a goal every 85 minutes for the "Golden Star Warriors".

Winning the 2024 Vietnamese Golden Ball is a testament to Tien Linh's enduring dedication and consistent performance throughout the past year. Previously, he finished second behind Van Quyet in the 2022 Vietnamese Golden Ball award, despite sharing the top scorer title at the 2022 AFF Cup with 6 goals. This time, with his relentless efforts, Tien Linh has conquered the most prestigious award in Vietnamese football.

Along with Tien Linh, midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc of Phu Dong Ninh Binh club won the Silver Ball; striker Pham Tuan Hai of Hanoi Club received the Bronze Ball.

In the women's category, Tran Thi Thuy Trang of Ho Chi Minh City I club was honored with the 2024 Women's Golden Ball award.
