Striker Nguyen Tien Linh won the Vietnam Golden Ball 2024

On the evening of February 26, the 2024 Golden Ball Awards Ceremony took place in Ho Chi Minh City.

Striker Nguyen Tien Linh of Becamex Binh Duong Club was officially honored with the title of Vietnam Golden Ball 2024. This is the first time he has received this noble award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to both the club and the national team throughout the past year.

Playing for Binh Duong, Tien Linh has spent his 10th season playing in the V-League. He scored a total of 67 goals, becoming one of the most effective domestic strikers in the tournament. In 2024 alone, he scored 10 goals in the V-League, leading the list of domestic top scorers.

On the international stage, at the AFF Cup 2024, Tien Linh played excellently with 4 goals and 2 assists after 8 matches, making an important contribution to helping the Vietnamese team win the championship. On average, he scored a goal every 85 minutes for the "Golden Star Warriors".

Winning the 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball is a testament to Tien Linh's consistent dedication and consistent performance throughout the year. Previously, he finished second to Van Quyet in the 2022 Vietnam Golden Ball award, despite winning the co-top scorer title of the AFF Cup 2022 with 6 goals. This time, with his relentless efforts, Tien Linh has conquered the most prestigious award in Vietnamese football.

Along with Tien Linh, midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc of Phu Dong Ninh Binh club won the Silver Ball; striker Pham Tuan Hai of Hanoi Club received the Bronze Ball.

In the women's category, player Tran Thi Thuy Trang of Ho Chi Minh City I club was honored with the 2024 Women's Golden Ball.
