Tien Dong and its determination to break through through synchronized infrastructure.
From a mountainous region facing many difficulties, Tien Dong has made its mark by investing heavily in transportation, irrigation, schools, and health stations. This improved infrastructure not only paves the way for socio-economic development but also elevates the appearance of the new rural area, becoming a shining example of transformation in the mountainous region of Nghe An.
Transformation in the new phase
During the period 2020-2025, under the close leadership of the Party Committee and the unity of the people, Tien Dong commune (before the merger) continuously strived, upholding the traditions of its homeland to overcome all difficulties. The achievements during this period are clear evidence of the determination and effectiveness in implementing socio-economic, national defense, and security goals. The socio-economic development has been quite comprehensive, with a stable average annual growth rate of production value.

The economic structure of Tien Dong commune has undergone positive changes, gradually reducing its dependence on agriculture and strengthening the role of industry, construction, and services. Although agriculture, forestry, and fisheries still hold a significant proportion, the parallel development of industry and services shows a gradually diversifying economy, creating more job opportunities and increasing labor productivity. The average per capita added value has reached an impressive level, directly reflecting a clear improvement in the income and quality of life of the people.
In the agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors, Tien Dong commune focuses on development towards increasing added value, not only concentrating on quantity but also aiming for quality and economic efficiency, making a significant contribution to the commune's total production value. In particular, large-scale reforestation has significantly increased forest cover, demonstrating the commune's strong commitment to environmental protection, sustainable development, and effective forest resource management. Annual fish production also remains stable, contributing to the diversification of food sources and livelihoods for the community.

Industry, handicrafts, and construction continued their strong growth momentum, making a significant contribution to overall economic growth. The average growth rate of this sector exceeded the overall growth rate of the entire society.
The transportation system in Tien Dong commune has been impressively upgraded and modernized. Dozens of kilometers of commune-level, inter-commune, and inter-hamlet roads have been asphalted or concreted, facilitating travel, trade, and connectivity between areas within and outside the commune. In addition, hundreds of kilometers of village lanes have been hardened and cleaned, contributing to an improved living environment and rural landscape. The canal system has also been largely reinforced, ensuring a stable water supply for agricultural production. These infrastructure improvements not only boost the economy but also significantly enhance the quality of life for the people.

The service and trade sector also recorded stable development. Revenue collection in the area achieved outstanding results, far exceeding the resolution's targets. In addition, basic quality of life indicators such as the percentage of households using clean water and the food safety rate all reached high levels, affirming the commune's commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of its people.
One of the most outstanding achievements during this period was the breakthrough in the new rural development program. From achieving only 12 out of 19 criteria at the beginning of the term, Tien Dong commune successfully completed all 19 criteria three years ahead of schedule as set out in the Congress Resolution. This is a powerful testament to the determination and consensus of the entire political system and the people in building a new, clean, beautiful, civilized, and livable rural area.
Densuring social security
The quality of life for the people of Tien Dong commune has improved not only economically but also through comprehensive attention to the fields of culture, education, and health.

Cultural, physical education, and sports activities are also maintained and developed vigorously, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people. The percentage of culturally exemplary families and hamlets achieving the title of culturally exemplary village is continuously increasing.

In particular, the Bươn Xao Festival, associated with the Lê Lợi Citadel historical site, is organized on a large scale, not only preserving the unique cultural identity of the locality but also opening up opportunities for community tourism development, attracting tourists and creating additional income for the people. This event is a cultural highlight, contributing to promoting the image of Tiên Đồng commune to friends inside and outside the province.

The primary healthcare sector has been prioritized for upgrading, with the quality of medical examinations and treatment steadily improving, ensuring that people have access to the best healthcare services. Maintaining national healthcare standards after re-evaluation demonstrates the competence and professionalism of the local healthcare team. Notably, the percentage of people with electronic health records has reached over 50%, showing the application of information technology in healthcare management, making personal health monitoring more convenient and effective.
Labor and employment issues have received special attention, focusing on improving skills and creating job opportunities for the people. The commune has organized vocational training for thousands of rural workers, contributing to raising the percentage of trained workers and meeting the needs of the labor market. Thousands of new jobs have been created, along with the placement of a large number of workers in overseas contract employment, contributing to solving the unemployment problem, increasing income, and improving the lives of many families. Simultaneously, social welfare work has been implemented promptly and effectively, with 67 houses built or renovated, with a total cost of nearly 3 billion VND.

In particular, administrative reform and digital transformation have made significant progress, bringing outstanding results in serving citizens and businesses. The rate of fully online applications has reached a high level, 100% of applications are processed ahead of schedule, and 100% of citizens are satisfied.
The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have also continuously innovated the content and methods of their activities, focusing on residential areas and special regions. Emulation movements have been widely implemented, focusing on supporting production, mobilizing resources to help the poor, and jointly building new rural areas, contributing to the creation of a strong national unity.
In the context of development, national defense and security work has always been maintained and strengthened. Tien Dong commune regularly disseminates and educates cadres, Party members, and the people on national defense and security, raising awareness and responsibility for protecting the Fatherland. Recruitment has achieved 100% of its target, along with the full implementation of policies and regulations for eligible individuals, demonstrating the concern of the Party and the State. Political security, social order, and safety are always maintained and stable, and the "All People Protect National Security" movement is promoted, creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development.

Development goals for the period 2025-2030
The commune Party Committee, with 32 subordinate branches and over 500 Party members, plays a leading role, guiding all activities, from economic development to political and social stability. The first Party Congress of Tien Dong commune established a clear and comprehensive development motto: "Economic development is the central task, Party building is key, and culture is the driving force for comprehensive development." This motto not only sets a vision but also guides specific actions in the 2025-2030 period, aiming to build a prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Tien Dong commune.
With that spirit, Tien Dong commune has set commendable goals, such as: By 2030, the commune strives to achieve 19 out of 19 criteria for advanced new rural development; In terms of economy, the target growth rate of total product value is 10% or more, raising the average per capita income to 60-65 million VND/year; In education, increasing the percentage of schools meeting national standards level 2 to 37.5%...

To achieve these strategic goals, in addition to the task of building a clean, strong, and comprehensively reforming Party organization, the commune will continue to improve the quality and competitiveness of agricultural products, promote sustainable economic development, and improve the quality of education. At the same time, it will focus on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, considering this as the foundation for developing community tourism, linked with unique festivals; and call for investment to develop potential eco-tourism areas such as hot springs, Na Huoi waterfall, Thung Khien cave, and Mo cave in Ban Phay - Thai Minh…
With a spirit of unity, determination, and a strong aspiration for progress, the officials, Party members, and people of Tien Dong commune believe that by maximizing all potential and resources, the commune will successfully achieve its set goals, building a homeland that is increasingly sustainable, prosperous, beautiful, and civilized.
To achieve its goals, Tien Dong commune has identified three key breakthroughs:
1. Promote the application of science, technology, and information in state management and administrative reform. Strive to have the commune's administrative reform index and competitiveness index ranked among the top in the province annually.
2. Attracting investment in infrastructure development, especially transportation, is crucial for creating a foundation in the socio-economic development process.
3. Promote vocational training and job creation for workers in order to create jobs, improve income, and enhance the quality of life for rural workers.
