US aid to Ukraine is projected to hit a record low in 2026.
Ukraine will receive $400 million in military aid from the United States by 2026.

According to RIA Novosti on December 25, US government documents show that Ukraine will receive the lowest total military aid from the US by 2026.
According to the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), Ukraine will receive only $400 million from the United States in 2026 for the purchase of new weapons. This expenditure has been approved in the defense budget for fiscal year 2026. According to the same document, a similar amount of $400 million will be allocated to Ukraine in 2027.
The record-low amount of aid to Kyiv in 2026 is believed to reflect the approach of the Trump administration. The White House has repeatedly stated that Washington is no longer spending American taxpayers' money on Ukraine. Instead, it is selling American weapons to NATO allies, who will then distribute them to the Ukrainian armed forces.
For comparison, the aid package to support Ukraine, approved by the US Congress in April 2024, includes $14 billion under the same USAI program. According to the Pentagon, in 2025, with the cost of these funds, Washington will continue to transfer more than $5.5 billion worth of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine as part of aid packages announced by the administration of the previous Joe Biden administration in recent months.
According to a report by the Inspector General, the Ukraine Assistance Program and the U.S. State Department – the two agencies that provide the largest amount of aid to Ukraine – Washington sent approximately $128 billion to Kyiv from the beginning of 2022 to the third quarter of 2025.
This amount has become a record among all countries supporting Ukraine, and includes the provision of weapons, money, and humanitarian aid.
According to the State Department, and based on a series of reports from the Inspector General, between February 2022 and mid-2025, the U.S. sent nearly $70 billion worth of weapons to Ukraine. Over the years, Washington allocated approximately $54 billion to maintain Ukraine's budget solvency, including a $20 billion loan through World Bank procedures in December 2024. Nearly the remaining $4 billion was transferred to Ukraine in the form of humanitarian aid.
In total, the U.S. Congress has allocated more than $187 billion to Ukraine and related programs.
US President Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that countries should no longer spend money supporting Ukraine, but instead dedicate their time to resolving the conflict.
