Midfielder Tuan Anh practices recovery with the ball in Korea:HAGL players are undergoing physical therapy to wait for their return to the field in the 2019 season.
Midfielder Nguyen Tuan Anh is undergoing physical therapy with Dr. Choi Joo Young in Korea. Tuan Anh underwent surgery in April and has been absent from the HAGL squad and the Vietnam national team.
Recently, Coach Duong Minh Ninh revealed some information about Tuan Anh: "He is currently receiving treatment in Korea and is expected to return to Vietnam in about a month and a half. At that time, V.League 2018 will have ended, Tuan Anh will focus on preparing for next year's season."

Previously, HAGL also announced that the midfielder wearing the number 46 shirt will return to the club at the end of October. Thus, Tuan Anh will certainly not be able to prepare physically in time to participate in the AFF Cup 2018 with coach Park Hang-seo.
On his personal page, Tuan Anh also did not mention the Southeast Asian championship taking place in November. Tuan Anh's wish is to "fight side by side with his teammates in next year's season", which is V.League 2019.
On April 11, Tuan Anh completed knee ligament surgery at Wooridul Hospital. The surgery, which was funded by Dr. Eun Sang Soo, lasted 2 hours and was successful.
Tuan Anh's injury is quite complicated, the ligament is not completely torn but is stretched a lot and affected by previous surgeries.

Dr. Eun Sang-soo, who performed the surgery, said: “Tuan Anh will not be able to return to the field with just physical therapy. A knee ligament surgery was performed and met expectations. We also intervened in the parts of the surgery that were not performed correctly before.”
The talented midfielder of Vietnamese football will only return home when Korean experts give the nod. They will continue to monitor the recovery process and re-examine him to avoid Tuan Anh easily suffering from a relapse.
Haste was a common feature of Tuan Anh’s previous recoveries. This time, the recovery stages are all planned in detail. Tuan Anh will only return to the field in the 2019 V.League season.
Tuan Anh will definitely not be able to return in time for the Vietnam national team to train in Korea to prepare for the AFF Cup 2018 from October and the tournament taking place in November. The HAGL midfielder may even miss the Asian Cup 2019.
