The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee requests that media agencies continue to intensify information and propaganda efforts regarding the decisive implementation of the restructuring of the political system's organizational apparatus, ensuring that the work is carried out on schedule and without interruption.
On the afternoon of May 5th, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Provincial Journalists Association held a press briefing for May 2025.
At the conference, representatives from media agencies were informed about several aspects of the 2025 high school graduation exam and the 2025-2026 10th grade entrance exam. Specifically, this year's high school graduation exam is expected to have 40,384 participating candidates (including 1,422 independent candidates), 72 examination centers, 6,715 invigilators, and 620 graders. This year's high school graduation exam has many new features, therefore the Nghe An Department of Education and Training has actively directed educational institutions to make thorough preparations well in advance.
The Nghe An Department of Education and Training has also established a Steering Committee for the exam, issued a plan for organizing the high school graduation exam for the 2025-2026 school year, ensuring the timeline, clearly assigning tasks to specific individuals and responsibilities; and issued an inspection plan and a coordination document between the Nghe An Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Police, as well as other departments, agencies, and localities, to ensure the successful organization of the exam.
The Department also compiled sample exam questions based on the structure of the Ministry of Education and Training's sample exam sent to schools; trained exam officials for 2025; organized many mock exams and launched a campaign of "90 days and nights of determination to achieve high results in the 2025 high school graduation exam".
For the 10th grade entrance exam, the number of candidates is expected to decrease by 4,573 compared to 2024. This year's exam has some changes such as a new exam structure, 120 minutes for Literature and Mathematics, and 60 minutes for Foreign Language, closely following the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training, with high practicality and application.
At the conference, representatives from media agencies also listened to a report on media work in April 2025. During April 2025, central and local media agencies operating in the province closely adhered to their principles and objectives, effectively implementing the propaganda guidelines. In particular, several topics were prominently covered and publicized by the media, such as the province's domestic and foreign affairs activities, key issues discussed at the online conference to implement the Resolution of the 11th Plenum of the Central Committee of the 13th Party Congress; and many important issues discussed in the regular sessions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee.
In addition, the vibrant and meaningful activities during the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) were also prominently publicized. Activities promoting and publicizing the scenic spots, festivals, and unique cultural features of various regions in Nghe An were also widely disseminated.
Over the past month, the press has also reflected on a number of issues of social media and public concern, such as the reorganization of the political system, the restructuring of administrative units and the organization of two-tiered local governments; gold price fluctuations; tourism in Cua Lo; statements, advertisements, and media stunts by celebrities;…
Regarding future propaganda orientation, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department requests that media agencies continue to publicize the results of the 11th Conference of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and intensify propaganda on Party building and rectification, and the construction of the political system in 2025.
In the coming period, press agencies need to continue to promote information and propaganda on the resolute implementation of the restructuring of the political system's organizational apparatus, ensuring timely progress and no disruption to work; promptly grasping and addressing the thoughts of cadres and Party members in agencies and units undergoing mergers. Along with that, they should strengthen the fight against and refutation of harmful, reactionary information from hostile forces before, during, and after Party congresses at all levels.
