Although train services have ceased, the Cau Giat - Nghia Dan railway line will continue to be maintained.
Following a petition from residents of Thai Hoa town regarding the relocation of Nghia Dan railway station from the town center due to its inactivity for over 10 years, causing environmental pollution and wasting assets and land, the Ministry of Transport has issued a written response affirming that it will continue to maintain this railway line.
The Cau Giat - Nghia Dan railway line, with a total length of 30km, was built in 1966, starting from Cau Giat station (Quynh Luu) and ending at Nghia Dan station (now Thai Hoa town). During its heyday, this line helped connect the northwestern region of Nghe An with the North-South railway line.
