New revelation: People who have cheated will always cheat.

A recent study by the Princeton Institute for Neuroscience (USA) shows that people who have cheated once are likely to cheat again.Studies have shown that when someone lies for the first time, they feel very uncomfortable. But by the second, third, or subsequent times, the feeling of guilt diminishes. This is because there is a region in the brain that triggers negative responses when we lie, but these responses gradually decrease with each lie.

People who cheat are more likely to never change.

"Similar to infidelity, the first time feels incredibly guilty. But later on, the adulterer feels less guilty about their actions and may commit more serious offenses," Neil Garrett, co-author of the study, shared with Elite Daily.

A person who has lied is more likely to lie again. Small lies can easily turn into bigger lies.For those who cheat regularly, they may feel ashamed of their actions, but after doing it so many times, they adapt and simply no longer feel that cheating is unethical.

"Another possibility is that they didn't feel that infidelity was bad from the start, so they didn't need to adapt."Neil Garrett added.
