During his eight years as US President, Barack Obama made 156 foreign trips and flew more than 900,000km on Air Force One.

However, Obama is only the third most traveled president in US history, after his two predecessors, former President Bill Clinton with 210 trips and former President George W. Bush with 190 trips, the Telegraph quoted a study by Esri UK.

The country Obama visited most often was Germany (16 times), followed by France (11 times) and the UK (6 times). Barack Obama visited Spain only once - for 18 hours in July 2016 - becoming the first US President to visit the country in 15 years.

Among Obama's trips, we cannot fail to mention his visit to Myanmar in November 2012 and his visit to Cuba in March 2016.

He made history with a speech in Havana, telling Cubans it was "time to leave the past behind". Barack Obama was the first US president to visit the Caribbean nation since 1928.

According to Esri UK, Obama's approval rating abroad averages around 60%, with the highest in Australia, France and Kenya (over 80%) and the lowest in Russia, Jordan and Palestine (10-20%).
