Earlier, at 2:00 AM on July 1, 2016, at Km 418 on National Highway 1A in Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district, the Dien Chau Traffic Police team spotted a passenger bus with license plate 38N.5507 belonging to Son Ha Co., Ltd., traveling from Nuoc Ngam Bus Station (Hanoi) to Ha Tinh.

At the time of inspection, driver Le Van Nam (born in 1972), residing in Binh Yen hamlet, Thach Binh commune, Ha Tinh city, was unable to present documents proving the origin of the poultry. The driver admitted to being hired to transport 17 boxes of poultry, including chicks and ducklings, to Vinh and Ha Tinh for a fee of 1,050,000 VND.

After completing the necessary procedures, the poultry were destroyed by the Dien Chau Veterinary Station in accordance with regulations.
