For the past few days, Mr. Hung and Ms. Huyen (from Vinh City) have been driving their truck all the way to Quynh Luu to sell pineapples in Vinh. They sell both wholesale and retail, setting up shop right on Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Boulevard. Each day they import about 2 tons and sell it all within the day. Pineapples are bought in Quynh Luu for 7,000-8,000 VND/kg, then sorted in Vinh into smaller ones sold individually and larger ones priced at 13,000 VND/kg. Sometimes Ms. Huyen has to mobilize family members to peel the pineapples to keep up with customer demand. According to Ms. Huyen, peeling the pineapples according to customer requests makes them easier to sell.

Many housewives in Vinh City believe that buying pineapples from Quynh Luu feels safe because they are produced by local farmers, so they buy a few at a time, store them in the refrigerator, and eat them gradually.

In markets like Quan Banh Market (Nghi Phu), which specializes in meat, offal, and sausages, several pineapple stalls have now sprung up, and most of them are selling well.

Mr. Phan Tien Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Thang commune (Quynh Luu district), said: The commune has 160 hectares of pineapple, with a total yield of about 3,200 tons this season. Since the factory stopped buying pineapples, farmers have continued to produce Queen pineapples for sale on the market. Currently, more than 20 tons of pineapples are consumed daily in the area, going to Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Vinh City, and Ha Tinh.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lieu, a small trader specializing in pineapple sales in Hamlet 2/9, Tan Thang (Quynh Luu), said: "Traders from Vinh also come to me to buy goods to sell retail at the market. Pineapples from Quynh Luu are still selling well; my family mainly sells pineapples to fruit canning factories in Ninh Binh."

It is known that this is the peak season, and the pineapple season in Quynh Luu will end next June.
