Finding solutions to limit power outages in the mountainous district of Que Phong
(Baonghean.vn) - Strengthening coordination between the electricity sector and localities; strictly handling violations of the grid safety corridor are the contents issued to limit the situation of grid outages in Que Phong.
On the morning of July 29, an online conference was held to evaluate the results of 1 year of implementing the work of clearing the power grid corridor in Que Phong district.
According to statistics from Quy Chau Electricity - the unit managing and operating the Que Phong power grid system, from April 15, 2019 to May 30, 2019, there were 89 power outages in Que Phong district, mainly caused by tornadoes. For example, tornadoes caused trees to fall, breaking wires and electric poles 27 times, concentrated in the communes of Chau Thon, Nam Giai, Dong Van, Thong Thu... In addition, power outages occurred due to people cutting trees, lead explosions, broken porcelain, broken arcs,...

To overcome the above incidents, Quy Chau Electricity cooperated with the youth union of Dong Van commune to clear the Hua Na branch grid corridor from position 47 to position 104. In addition, together with Nam Giai and Que Son communes, they cleared 9 km of corridors with high risk of trees falling into the grid.
However, the work of clearing the power grid corridor has not been really effective due to the lack of regular coordination between Quy Chau Power Company and Que Phong District. The work of clearing the power grid corridor in the area has encountered many difficulties, especially in the forest land of the people. Some households planted trees under the 35KV line in Que Son commune, seriously violating the power grid corridor, causing obstacles when Quy Chau Power Company carried out the clearance.
At the meeting, some communes also raised their opinions to improve this situation in the area, such as requesting investment in power lines for the two villages of Khun Na and Dong Tien because currently there is a rather dangerous situation where people pull their own power grid to use, some degraded roads also need to be replaced...
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thuong Hien - Deputy Director of Nghe An Electricity Company shared the difficulties of the people caused by the power outage, and at the same time hoped that the local government would coordinate with the industry to promptly resolve the current problems.
