Finding solutions to boost tourism growth in Nghe An.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 10th, businesses and tourism managers gathered for a discussion at a seminar program.Solutions to promote growth and tourism development between the public and private sectors.
Attending the event were Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Tourism, representatives of the Provincial Journalists Association; leaders of the Kim Lien Relic Area Management Board, the Truong Bon Relic Area Management Board; airlines in Nghe An; localities of Vinh City, Nam Dan, Yen Thanh, Con Cuong; travel agencies, hotels, transportation companies, and groups producing Nghe An specialties.

At the seminar, localities, travel companies, hotels, transportation companies, etc., offered many ideas on how to promote tourism growth and marketing, such as: encouraging businesses to organize events to attract tourists; mobilizing social resources for tourism promotion and marketing; applying e-marketing in domestic and international tourism promotion; and connecting travel agencies with other businesses.
Speaking at the seminar, Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized: To promote growth and tourism promotion between the public and private sectors, tourism and travel businesses need to coordinate with neighboring provinces to organize Famtrip tours; boldly establish representative offices of international travel agencies in key localities; improve the quality of tour guides; and closely cooperate between travel agencies and transportation companies to better serve tourists. Propaganda and promotion work needs focused investment and a specific strategy. The Nghe An tourism industry is committed to coordinating and linking with other sectors to achieve the goal and roadmap of becoming a key economic sector of the province.

On this occasion, representatives from the Nghe An Tourism Promotion Center reviewed the tourism promotion and marketing work carried out in the past period and outlined future tasks. They emphasized the key tasks for the last three months of 2017: continuing to boost the exploitation of key tourism markets; promoting and directing tourists to several new destinations in Nghe An such as Cua Lo MICE tourism, community-based tourism in the Mekong Delta, Vinh orange festival, Thanh Chuong tea hills, and the Muong Thanh Dien Lam tourist area.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day on October 13th, the Tourism sector also honored 13 outstanding entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the development of tourism in the province.

At the workshop, delegates offered constructive suggestions for the growth of Nghe An's tourism industry: Mr. Le Van Binh - Representative of Nghe An Tourism Association: Develop a plan to organize fairs, destination and tourism product showcases, and roadshows to promote tourism in the province through cost sharing among participating units. Mr. Vo Hong Sang - Director of Thai Son International Travel Joint Stock Company: The role of the Tourism Association in managing and guiding tourism businesses, such as hotels, restaurants, and travel agencies, needs to be enhanced; all components of the tourism industry must cooperate for mutual development. Mr. Vo Van Tho - Head of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Department of Cua Lo Town: Organizing national-level events. Coordinating and collaborating with large businesses to jointly organize events that create highlights. Mr. Ha Nang Viet – Deputy Director of Vietjet Airlines: To cooperate and develop together, Vietjet will sign cooperation agreements with management agencies and travel associations to guarantee prices and seat commitments for customers with the most preferential and cost-effective policies. |
