Learn about award-winning new cooperative models.
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 28th in Vinh City, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to summarize and award prizes for the competition to learn about new cooperative models. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the competition organizing committee.
"Encourage the expansion of the scale and scope of operations of cooperatives."
Launched at the beginning of 2016, the competition attracted participation from many units, sectors, and cooperatives in the province. The final round included 12 television and radio news entries; 12 written entries; and in the theatrical/short play category, 14 out of 21 districts, cities, and towns participated.

The journalistic works and theatrical sketches all adhered closely to the purpose, requirements, and content of the competition. The submitted works and sketches were well-invested, rich in content, and possessed high artistic and propaganda value. The participating teams strictly followed the competition rules and regulations. 100% of the submitted works and sketches complied with the competition regulations; there were no violations of the regulations.

Through practical entries and short plays, the competition provides useful information to help people better understand the meaning, importance, forms, methods, and rights of members in new-style cooperative models.
This aims to widely disseminate the principles and values of cooperatives, contributing to the development of the collective economy in the new era; to introduce and replicate exemplary and advanced cooperative models, effective production and business activities, good experiences, innovative initiatives in the organization and operation of cooperatives, and the contributions of cooperatives to building new rural areas in the province.

At the end of the competition, the organizing committee selected 29 winning entries. These included: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes in television journalism; 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes, and 3 consolation prizes in print journalism; 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 5 consolation prizes in theatrical short plays; and 1 consolation prize in radio journalism.

On this occasion, 69 individuals were awarded commemorative medals by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance for their contributions to the development of cooperatives; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 collectives and 9 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the period 2011-2016; and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 collectives and 11 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the development of the collective economy in the period 2011-2016.
