Searched and collected more than 1,000 remains and 6 mass graves of martyrs

Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa - Deputy Political Commissar, Head of Steering Committee 515 of Military Region chaired the conference. Attending the conference were comrades of Steering Committee 515 of provinces in the Military Region.

According to the report on the implementation results of Project 1237 on the search and collection of martyrs' remains in the period of 2016 - 2018, the Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4, Party committees at all levels, local authorities, commanders of agencies and units, directly the Steering Committee 515 at all levels, have actively and synchronously implemented, basically completing and exceeding the plan targets on searching and collecting martyrs' remains both domestically and internationally.

Propaganda work on martyrs' graves, information about martyrs, martyrs' graves, and activities to search for and collect martyrs' remains and mobilize people to provide information about martyrs and martyrs' graves are carried out in many forms, measures, and channels with creative approaches.

The Military Region 515 Steering Committee organized training and directed the Provincial Military Commands to organize training and provide guidance on mapping the search and collection of martyrs' remains for 100% of communes, wards and towns, ensuring the program, content and composition according to regulations, achieving good results.

From 2016 to present, units have searched for and collected 1,078 remains and 6 mass graves (in Laos 554 remains and 2 mass graves, in Vietnam 524 remains and 4 mass graves).

In the coming time, the Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4 will continue to synchronously deploy groups of solutions, promote propaganda work, actively collect information on martyrs' graves; complete the review, complete the records, lists of martyrs, create maps to search and collect martyrs' remains at 3 levels (commune, district, province) according to schedule; organize surveys, searches, and collects the remaining martyrs' graves in the assigned area to ensure strictness and accuracy; combine well the search, collection and identification of martyrs' remains with missing information.

At the conference, the Military Region 4 Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the project to search for and collect martyrs' remains in the 2016-2018 period.
