Searching for relatives of an abandoned newborn boy in Nghe An.
Over the past month, three cases of abandoned newborns have been discovered in Nghe An province. All three are boys, in good health, and one baby was even abandoned with the umbilical cord still attached.
On April 27, leaders of the People's Committee of Hanh Lam commune (Nghe An province) announced that the locality is searching for the biological parents of an abandoned newborn boy in the area.
Accordingly, at around 10 PM on April 25th, a resident of Duc Thanh hamlet, Hanh Lam commune, discovered an abandoned newborn baby boy near bridge C3, hamlet C3, about 50 meters from their home, and reported it to the local authorities.

Upon verification, the baby boy is approximately 10 days old and weighs 4kg. When discovered, he was placed in a blue plastic basket, along with blankets, pillows, a letter, and 600,000 VND. The baby is currently being cared for by the family who found him while awaiting identification of his relatives.
The People's Committee of Hanh Lam commune requests that the biological parents of the child come to the commune's People's Committee office as soon as possible to complete the procedures for receiving their child according to regulations. The deadline for receiving information is May 7th. After this deadline, if no one comes to claim the child, the local authorities will register the birth and carry out the relevant procedures for the abandoned child according to the law.
In Quynh Tam commune (formerly Quynh Luu district), authorities are also searching for the relatives of another abandoned newborn. According to reports, at approximately 5 PM on April 17th, residents accidentally discovered a newborn boy abandoned in a bush by the roadside near the spillway in Hamlet 10, Quynh Chau (Quynh Tam commune). Immediately after receiving the information, the Quynh Tam commune police coordinated with relevant agencies to verify the child's relatives, but so far, they have not been identified.
The baby boy was wrapped in a woman's shirt and placed in a cloth travel bag. When discovered, he still had his umbilical cord attached, weighed 3.4 kg, and was in normal health.
Meanwhile, in Hung Nguyen commune,around 3 AM on March 22ndMr. Le Van D. (36 years old, My Giang hamlet) was awakened from sleep by the sound of a baby crying. Upon opening the door to check, Mr. D. discovered a white plastic basket placed next to a mango tree along the inter-hamlet road, containing a newborn baby boy, and reported it to the authorities.
The baby boy is estimated to be about 4 days old, weighing 3kg, and in normal health. When found, he was wearing a blue shirt and wrapped in a blue blanket. Inside the plastic basket were two sets of baby clothes, a baby bottle, a 500,000 VND banknote, and a note that read: "I am unable to raise this baby. I hope whoever finds him will help me raise him. Thank you."
