Last 2 victims found in quarry collapse
At 5:00 p.m. on January 23, the last victim of the quarry collapse in Yen Lam commune, Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa was found.
Thus, after more than 1 day and night of active searching with more than 200 people participating in the search, digging thousands of cubic meters of rock, the authorities found all 8 victims.

The accident occurred at around 10am on January 22nd at the quarry of Tuan Hung Private Enterprise in Dong Son village, Yen Lam commune, resulting in 7 deaths and 1 serious injury.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Quyen, Permanent Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, directly directed the search and rescue of the victims. Thanh Hoa Provincial Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department sent hundreds of officers to the scene to coordinate the search, and at the same time organize the examination, investigation, and clarify the cause of the incident.
On January 23, the Prime Minister issued an official dispatch directing search and rescue efforts in the quarry collapse in Yen Dinh. The Prime Minister requested the National Committee for Search and Rescue and the Ministries of National Defense, Construction, and Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to coordinate with the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province to continue directing relevant agencies to effectively deploy search and rescue work and overcome the consequences of the accident according to regulations. The Prime Minister also sent his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and requested: Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to focus on directing search and rescue work, mobilizing forces and means to urgently search for those still buried; organize visits, encouragement, and emergency care for the injured; support and organize thoughtful burials for those who died.
