SAD NEWS: General Le Van Dung has passed away.

According to information from the Central Council for the Protection of Cadre Health, General Le Van Dung, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, born on December 25, 1945, former Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, former Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, passed away at 3:40 PM on January 9, 2026, at his home, at the age of 81, after a period of illness. Despite the dedicated care and attention from the Party, the State, a team of professors and doctors, and his family, he passed away due to old age and weakness.
