Over the next 72 to 96 hours, the tropical depression is likely to move northwest at a speed of 5-10 km per hour and gradually weaken into a low-pressure area over land in southern Guangxi Province (China).

🔹 Affected areas: Gulf of Tonkin (including the special economic zones of Bach Long Vi, Van Don, Co To, Cat Hai; Hon Dau Island), coastal waters of Quang Ninh province, Hai Phong city and Hung Yen province.
Risk: Strong winds of force 6-7, sea waves 2.0-3.0m high; in areas near the storm's center, winds will be strong at force 8-9, gusting to force 10-11; sea waves 3.0-5.0m high; very rough seas.
Main impacts: Hazardous weather conditions can cause capsizing, sinking, or damage to fishing vessels, cargo ships, tourist boats, and other vessels operating at sea; aquaculture cages, mooring areas, and coastal structures are at risk of damage. Fisheries, transportation, and tourism activities at sea are likely to be disrupted.

🔹 Affected areas: Northeast Vietnam, southern part of Phu Tho province, Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An.
Risk: From noon to late afternoon on August 24th, Hai Phong City, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, southern Phu Tho province, and from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh will experience heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 40-70mm, and locally exceeding 140mm.
From the night of August 24th to the morning of August 25th, the coastal areas of Northern Vietnam, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces experienced moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 20-50mm, and in some localized areas receiving very heavy rain exceeding 100mm.
Main impacts: Heavy rainfall may cause flooding in urban areas, industrial zones, and low-lying areas; increasing the risk of flooding on small rivers and streams, flash floods, and landslides in mountainous areas.
