As of 5:30 PM Vietnam time today, the world gold price has reached 3686.4 USD/ounce, an increase of 1.17%, equivalent to an increase of 42.57 USD/ounce compared to yesterday.

Based on today's USD/VND exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,468 VND/USD), the world gold price today is equivalent to 117.6 million VND/ounce. Currently, the domestic gold price is about 14.7 million VND/ounce higher than the world gold price.

As of 5:30 PM today, September 16, 2025, the price of domestic gold bars has increased sharply by approximately 1.7 million VND/ounce for buying and 1.2 million VND/ounce for selling. Specifically:

The price of SJC gold bars, as listed by DOJI Group, is 130.3 - 132.3 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price). At the same time, the price of gold bars listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) and PNJ is also 130.3 - 132.3 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price).

Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 131.3-132.3 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited, the price of gold bars was traded at 130.3 - 132.3 million VND/ounce (buying - selling).

At Phu Quy, the price of SJC gold bars is being traded by businesses at 129.8 - 132.3 million VND/ounce (buy - sell).

As of 5:30 PM on September 16, 2025, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong gold rings listed at DOJI increased by 300,000 VND/ounce to 126.5-129.5 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price).

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 127.6 - 130.6 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), an increase of 800,000 VND/ounce.

USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 16th: Slight decrease both domestically and internationally.

As of 5:00 PM on September 16th, the State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate at 25,208 VND/USD, a decrease of 8 dong compared to yesterday.

With a trading margin of ±5%, the ceiling exchange rate that banks are allowed to quote is 26,468 VND/USD, while the floor exchange rate is 23,947 VND/USD.

At the State Bank of Vietnam's exchange floor, the reference exchange rate was announced at 24,006 VND/USD for buying and 26,426 VND/USD for selling.

This adjustment led to a slight decrease in the exchange rates listed at commercial banks.

In the banking sector, Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate at 26,188 VND/USD (buying) - 26,468 VND/USD (selling), a decrease of 8 dong compared to yesterday.

BIDV also announced a buying rate of 26,188 VND/USD and a selling rate of 26,468 VND/USD, a decrease of 22 dong and 8 dong respectively.

In the free market, the US dollar is trading at 26,480 VND/USD (buying rate) - 26,580 VND/USD (selling rate), unchanged from September 15th.

The US Dollar Index (DXY), a measure of the dollar's strength against a basket of major currencies, fell to 97.34 points. Compared to the previous session, the EUR/USD exchange rate rose slightly by 0.01% to 1.1763; the British pound increased by 0.04% to 1.3603 USD; and the USD/JPY edged up 0.01% to 147.42 yen.

The US dollar is currently fluctuating around its lowest level in two and a half months against the euro. Global investors are focusing their attention on the Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting, expecting the central bank to soon cut interest rates to support the economy.

Pepper prices today, September 16, 2025: Domestic prices remain stable for 3 consecutive days.

Today's pepper prices in key growing regions remained unchanged compared to yesterday. As a result, the average domestic pepper price is between 148,000 VND/kg and 151,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.

Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.

Today's pepper price in Lam Dong (formerly Dak Nong) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is 150,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai also remains unchanged from yesterday at 150,000 VND/kg.

Additionally, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on September 16th (local time) as follows:

Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices rose sharply compared to yesterday, reaching US$7,101/ton (up 0.38%). Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also increased significantly compared to yesterday, reaching US$10,062/ton (up 0.38%).

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices rose sharply compared to yesterday, reaching $6,600 per ton (up 1.54%).

Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,700/tonne. Similarly, ASTA white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$12,900/tonne.

Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) is 6,600 USD/ton; and the price of 550 gr/l is 6,800 USD/ton.

In addition, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,250 per ton.

Coffee prices today, September 16, 2025: Continuing their strong upward trend.

Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, September 16, 2025, continued their strong upward trend compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 122,200 and 122,800 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in the former Dak Nong region are buying coffee at the highest price of 122,800 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 122,700 VND/kg, an increase of 2,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 2700 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 122,500 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 2600 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 122,200 VND/kg.

On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery reached $5042 per ton, up 4.67% ($225 per ton) from yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract fell 1.22% ($59 per ton) to $4783 per ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery rose 5.28% (21.7 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, reaching 432.35 US cents/pound. The December 2025 contract fell 0.43% (1.85 US cents/pound), reaching 415.8 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery rose 5.61% (28.7 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, reaching 540.4 US cents/pound. The December 2025 contract increased 0.12% (0.6 US cents/pound), reaching 506 US cents/pound.
