As of 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, September 29, 2025, the domestic gold bar price increased sharply by 1.5 million VND/tael compared to yesterday. Specifically:

The price of SJC gold bars was listed by DOJI Group at 134.5 - 136.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell). At the same time, the price of gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC and PNJ gold bars at 134.5 - 136.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 135.5 - 136.5 million VND/tael for buying and selling. The price of gold bars at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited was traded by the enterprise at 134.5 - 136.5 million VND/tael (buying and selling).

USD exchange rate this afternoon, September 29: Slight decrease after a series of increases

On September 29, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate at 25,192 VND/USD, down 2 VND compared to the end of last week. The ceiling exchange rate remained at 26,451 VND/USD. The buying and selling prices at the State Bank Exchange also decreased by 2 VND, to 23,983 VND and 26,401 VND, respectively.

At commercial banks at 5:00 p.m., the USD exchange rate fluctuated little compared to September 26. The buying price decreased slightly to 26,181 VND/USD, the selling price was 26,451 VND/USD. The transfer rate was recorded at 26,211 VND/USD.

Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 29 at 26,211 - 26,451 VND/USD, down 2 VND in both directions.

On the contrary, BIDV adjusted up, at 26,230 - 26,451 VND/USD, an increase of 15 VND for buying and 2 VND for selling.

Unlike banks, the free market has an upward trend. The buying price reached 26,520 VND/USD and the selling price was 26,620 VND/USD, an increase of 30 VND compared to September 26.

In the international market, the USD Index (DXY) stood at 98.18. Previously, DXY had reached 98.834 - an 8-week high. If it surpasses 99.07, the greenback could advance to 100.26, the highest level since early August.

Despite the US Federal Reserve (Fed) cutting interest rates by 25 basis points in September, the USD has maintained its position. In the context of global instability, the USD continues to be chosen as a safe haven, creating a foundation for an upward trend.

Pepper price this afternoon September 29, 2025: Remain stable

Pepper prices this afternoon in key growing areas remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 147,000 VND/kg to 150,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Gia Lai and Dong Nai have pepper price today at 148,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Pepper prices in Ho Chi Minh City remained unchanged from yesterday when traders purchased pepper at 150,000 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, in Lam Dong, pepper prices on the market were purchased by traders at 149,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous day.

Pepper prices in Dak Lak also remained unchanged, recorded at 150,000 VND/kg.

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on September 29 (local time) as follows:

Indonesia’s Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,945 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,841 per tonne.

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,500/mt.

Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,600/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $13,000/ton.

Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.

In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at 9,250 USD/ton.

Coffee price this afternoon September 29, 2025: Continued price increase

Domestic coffee prices this afternoon, September 29, 2025, in the Central Highlands region continued to increase compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 115,300 - 116,700 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 116,700 VND/kg, a slight increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 116,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by VND1,000/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND116,300/kg.

In Lam Dong province, coffee prices increased by VND1,000/kg compared to yesterday and are at VND115,300/kg.

On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures contract for November 2025 delivery reached 4,243 USD/ton, up 1% (42 USD/ton) compared to yesterday. The contract for January 2026 delivery increased 1.08% (45 USD/ton), to 4,227 USD/ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 3.73% (13.85 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 385.2 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 increased by 2.01% (7.2 US cents/pound), to 366.1 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 0.83% (3.75 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 454.7 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in December 2025 increased by 0.63% (2.8 US cents/pound) to 449.2 US cents/pound.

Oil price this afternoon September 29, 2025: Turning down

Oil prices fell as Iraqi Kurdistan resumed exports and OPEC+ prepared to increase production, increasing global supplies.

This afternoon, September 29 (Vietnam time), Brent crude fell 43 cents to $69.70/barrel, while US WTI crude lost 49 cents to $65.23/barrel. This decrease erased most of last week's strong gains. Previously, both Brent and WTI had risen more than 4% this week, marking their highest gains since June.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced new retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on September 25. Specifically as follows:

- E5 RON92 gasoline price decreased by 370 VND/liter to 19,610 VND/liter.

- RON 95-III gasoline price decreased by 440 VND/liter, to 20,160 VND/liter.

- Diesel oil slightly decreased by 50 VND/liter, to 18,650 VND/liter.

- Kerosene price increased by 80 VND/liter to 18,620 VND/liter.

- Fuel oil price increased by 70 VND/kg, up to 15,200 VND/kg.

During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund.
