The price of SJC gold bars was listed by DOJI Group at 135.3 - 137.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell). At the same time, the price of gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC and PNJ gold bars at 134.8 - 136.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 135 - 136.8 million VND/tael for buying and selling. The price of gold bars at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited was traded by the enterprise at 134.8 - 136.8 million VND/tael (buying and selling).

USD exchange rate today October 1, 2025: Free market increases sharply

As of 6:00 a.m. on October 1, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate between VND and USD at 25,187 VND, down 5 VND compared to September 29.

With a band of ±5%, the ceiling rate is 26,446 VND/USD and the floor rate is 23,927 VND/USD.

At the State Bank of Vietnam, the USD price is listed at 23,978 VND for buying and 26,396 VND for selling.

Commercial banks made mixed adjustments, fluctuating between 2 and 15 VND each way compared to the previous closing price. Specifically, Vietcombank listed 26,176 - 26,446 VND/USD, BIDV kept 26,235 - 26,446 VND/USD.

Currently, the lowest buying price in the banking market is 26,176 VND/USD, while the highest buying price is 26,241 VND/USD. The common selling price is 26,446 VND/USD.

Unlike the banking system, the free market this morning recorded a strong increase of 30 VND in the USD exchange rate in both buying and selling directions, reaching 26,520 - 26,620 VND/USD.

In the international market, the USD Index (DXY), which measures the strength of the USD against a basket of major currencies, reached 97.94 points, up slightly by 0.03% from the previous session. After two consecutive declines, the USD is still fluctuating around the 98 point mark.

Investors are now concerned about the possibility of a US government shutdown if the October 1 budget deadline is not met. This scenario could disrupt the release of many important economic data this week, putting further pressure on financial markets. The stalemate stems from President Donald Trump's failure to reach a temporary spending deal with the opposition.

In addition to political factors, the USD is also affected by monetary policy expectations. The market is predicting that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will cut interest rates by another 0.25 percentage points in October.

Pepper price today October 1, 2025: Sharp decrease in domestic market

Pepper prices today in key growing areas have dropped sharply compared to yesterday. As a result, the domestic pepper price level is from 146,000 VND/kg to 147,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Gia Lai pepper price today is 146,500 VND/kg, down 1,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Pepper price in Ho Chi Minh City decreased by 3,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday when pepper was purchased by traders at 147,000 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, in Lam Dong, pepper price in the market was purchased by traders at 147,000 VND/kg, down 2,000 VND/kg compared to the previous day.

Pepper price in Dak Lak decreased by 3,000 VND/kg, recorded at 147,000 VND/kg.

In the world market, based on quotes from exporting enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on October 1 (local time) as follows:

Specifically, the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper decreased slightly compared to yesterday at 6,979 USD/ton (down 0.07%). In addition, the price of Muntok white pepper decreased slightly compared to yesterday at 9,889 USD/ton (down 0.08%).

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,500/mt.

Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,600/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $13,000/ton.

Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.

In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at 9,250 USD/ton.

Coffee price today October 1, 2025: Slight decrease

Domestic coffee prices today, October 1, 2025, in the Central Highlands region slightly decreased compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 114,300 - 116,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 116,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 116,000 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by VND500/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND115,800/kg.

In Lam Dong province, coffee prices decreased by VND1,000/kg compared to yesterday and are at VND114,300/kg.

On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures contract for November 2025 delivery reached 4,262 USD/ton, up 1.82% (76 USD/ton) compared to yesterday. The contract for January 2026 delivery increased 1.84% (77 USD/ton), reaching 4,251 USD/ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 1.91% (7.1 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, reaching 379.3 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 increased by 1.76% (6.25 US cents/pound), reaching 361.8 US cents/pound.

Gasoline price today October 1, 2025: Slight decrease due to increased supply

On October 1, world crude oil prices continued to fall due to expectations that OPEC+ will increase production at the upcoming meeting.

Brent crude for November delivery fell 70 cents, or 1%, to $67.27 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also lost 81 cents, or 1.3%, to $62.64 a barrel.

Earlier in the week, both oil futures plunged more than 3%, their biggest one-day drop since August 1.

At the opening of the trading session on October 1, in China, the October 2025 rubber futures price on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) fell 0.37% (55 yuan) to 14,475 yuan/ton. The November 2025 rubber futures price fell 0.54% (80 yuan) to 14,475 yuan/ton.
