World gold prices had a strong week of increase
As of 4:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, the world gold price reached 3,642.3 USD/ounce, up 1.45% or 51.9 USD/ounce compared to the beginning of last week.
Based on today's USD/VND exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,476 VND/USD), today's world gold price is equivalent to 116.2 million VND/tael. Currently, the domestic gold price is about 14.9 million VND/tael higher than the world gold price.

USD exchange rate on September 15: Trading week slightly decreased
As of 4:00 a.m. on September 15, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate of the Vietnamese Dong against the USD at 25,216 VND. At the State Bank Exchange, the reference exchange rate was listed at 24,006 VND for buying and 26,426 VND for selling.
In the commercial banking sector, the listed prices are also quite stable. Vietcombank listed the buying price at VND26,166 and the selling price at VND26,476. At Vietinbank, the buying price is VND26,030 and the selling price is VND26,476. BIDV also maintained the buying price at VND26,208 and the selling price at VND26,476.
The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the greenback's strength against a basket of six major currencies, fell 0.18% last week to 97.62, signaling a temporary weakening of the greenback against major currencies.
In the international market, the EUR/USD pair was almost unchanged, ending the week around 1.1700. The European Central Bank (ECB) kept its current policy and is unlikely to adjust interest rates until next summer.
The pound edged higher as GBP/USD ended the week at 1.3565. Investors are awaiting next week's Bank of England (BoE) interest rate decision, where a majority of the Monetary Policy Committee is expected to vote to maintain the current rate.
For the Japanese Yen, the USD/JPY exchange rate has remained stable for 8 consecutive weeks. The Bank of Japan (BoJ) is expected to continue to maintain its easing policy with interest rates near zero, to support the domestic economic recovery.
Pepper price today September 15, 2025: Last week decreased sharply
Pepper price today, September 15, has gone through two consecutive weeks of decline, at 148,000 - 151,000 VND/kg. In contrast, pepper export price increased from 100 to 430 USD/ton.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Lam Dong (old Dak Nong) is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper price today in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is currently at 150,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 150,000 VND/kg.
In addition, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.
At the end of last week, pepper prices in key production provinces decreased from 1,000 to 3,000 VND/kg compared to last week.
Specifically, pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai all decreased by 1000 VND/kg last week. Pepper prices in Gia Lai and Binh Phuoc decreased by 2000 VND/kg and 3000 VND/kg respectively compared to last week.

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on September 15 (local time) as follows:
Indonesia’s Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,074 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $10,024 per tonne.
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,500/mt.
Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,900/ton.
Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.
In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at 9,250 USD/ton.
Domestic pepper prices fell this week, but export prices increased from 100 to 430 USD/ton. Pepper exports are expected to be the main support for Vietnamese pepper prices, as demand increases from major markets.
According to the International Pepper Association (IPC), world pepper prices fluctuated last week. Of which, the price of Indonesian Lampung pepper decreased slightly by 12 USD/ton compared to last week. Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 decreased more sharply, with a decrease of 100 USD/ton.
In contrast, Vietnam’s black pepper export prices increased from 360 to 430 USD/ton for 500 g/l and 550 g/l grades. Meanwhile, Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained stable throughout the past week.
At the same time, the price of Indonesian Muntok white pepper decreased by 18 USD/ton last week. In contrast, Vietnamese white pepper increased by 100 USD/ton. The price of Malaysian ASTA white pepper remained at 12,900 USD/ton.

Coffee price today September 15, 2025: A week of strong increase
Coffee prices today, September 15, are at 119,800 - 120,500 VND/kg, a sharp increase of nearly 8,000 VND/kg over the past week. Trading activities in Vietnam remain quite quiet.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 120,500 VND/kg. Coffee prices in Dak Lak and Gia Lai provinces are at 120,200 VND/kg. Meanwhile, in Lam Dong province, coffee prices are at the lowest price of 119,800 VND/kg.
At the end of last week, coffee prices in the Central Highlands region increased sharply from 7,200 to 7,800 VND/kg, equivalent to an increase of 6.4% to 7% compared to the previous week.
Specifically, coffee prices in Dak Nong increased by 7,200 VND/kg last week, Dak Lak and Gia Lai increased by 7,000 VND/kg and 7,400 VND/kg respectively. Notably, Lam Dong recorded the strongest increase of 7,800 VND/kg, although it is still the locality with the lowest price in the region.

On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery reached $4,817 per ton, up 1.69% ($80 per ton) from yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract increased 1.77% ($80 per ton) to $4,601 per ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in September 2025 increased by 2.65% (10.6 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 410.65 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in December 2025 increased by 2.78% (10.75 US cents/pound), to 396.85 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in September 2025 increased by 2.81% (14 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 511.7 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 0.14% (0.75 US cents/pound) to 484 US cents/pound.

Rubber price today September 15, 2025: Sharp decrease across the board
In Singapore, the price of rubber futures for October 2025 decreased by 0.39% (0.7 USD/ton) compared to yesterday, to 173.1 USD/ton. The contract for November 2025 decreased by 0.22% (0.4 USD/ton) to 173.9 USD/ton.

At the opening session on September 15, in China, the rubber futures price for September 2025 on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) increased by 0.07% (10 yuan) to 14,835 yuan/ton. The rubber futures price for October 2025 decreased by 0.29% (45 yuan) to 14,910 yuan/ton.

At the time of the survey, the price of RSS3 on TOCOM Commodity Exchange (Tokyo) for September 2025 delivery increased by 0.06% (0.2 Yen/kg) compared to yesterday, reaching 323.2 Yen/kg. The contract for October 2025 delivery remained unchanged, reaching 321.9 Yen/kg.

Cocoa price today September 15, 2025: Mixed increase and decrease
As of 4:00 a.m. on September 15, 2025, the price of cocoa traded on the New York Stock Exchange for September 2025 delivery decreased by 1.82% (136 USD/ton) compared to yesterday, down to 7,315 USD/ton. The December 2025 futures contract increased by 0.58% (43 USD/ton), reaching 7,474 USD/ton.

At the time of the survey, the price of London cocoa for September 2025 delivery decreased by 4.83% (255 GBP/ton) compared to yesterday, to 5014 GBP/ton. The contract for December 2025 delivery decreased by 1.72% (90 GBP/ton) to 5106 GBP/ton.
