USD exchange rate today, September 17th: Slight decrease both domestically and internationally.
As of 4:00 AM on September 17th, the State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate at 25,208 VND/USD, a decrease of 8 dong compared to yesterday.
With a trading margin of ±5%, the ceiling exchange rate that banks are allowed to quote is 26,468 VND/USD, while the floor exchange rate is 23,947 VND/USD.
At the State Bank of Vietnam's exchange floor, the reference exchange rate was announced at 24,006 VND/USD for buying and 26,426 VND/USD for selling.
This adjustment led to a slight decrease in the exchange rates listed at commercial banks.
In the banking sector, Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate at 26,188 VND/USD (buying) - 26,468 VND/USD (selling), a decrease of 8 dong compared to yesterday.
BIDV also announced a buying rate of 26,188 VND/USD and a selling rate of 26,468 VND/USD, a decrease of 22 dong and 8 dong respectively.

The US Dollar Index (DXY), a measure of the dollar's strength against a basket of major currencies, fell to 97.34 points. Compared to the previous session, the EUR/USD exchange rate rose slightly by 0.01% to 1.1763; the British pound increased by 0.04% to 1.3603 USD; and the USD/JPY edged up 0.01% to 147.42 yen.

Today's pepper prices in key growing regions remained unchanged compared to yesterday. As a result, the average domestic pepper price is between 148,000 VND/kg and 151,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Lam Dong (formerly Dak Nong) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is 150,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai also remains unchanged from yesterday at 150,000 VND/kg.
Additionally, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on September 17th (local time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices rose sharply compared to yesterday, reaching US$7,101/ton (up 0.38%). Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also increased significantly compared to yesterday, reaching US$10,062/ton (up 0.38%).
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices rose sharply compared to yesterday, reaching $6,600 per ton (up 1.54%).
Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,700/tonne. Similarly, ASTA white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$12,900/tonne.
Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) is 6,600 USD/ton; and the price of 550 gr/l is 6,800 USD/ton.
In addition, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,250 per ton.

Coffee prices today, September 17, 2025: Domestic prices increased sharply.
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, September 17, 2025, continued their strong upward trend compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 122,200 and 122,800 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the former Dak Nong region are buying coffee at the highest price of 122,800 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 122,700 VND/kg, an increase of 2,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 2700 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 122,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 2600 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 122,200 VND/kg.

On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery reached $5002/ton, down 0.79% ($40/ton) from yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract fell 1.45% ($70/ton) to $4772/ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery fell 0.24% (1.05 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 431.3 US cents/pound. The December 2025 contract rose 0.1% (0.4 US cents/pound), reaching 418.05 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery rose 5.61% (28.7 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, reaching 540.4 US cents/pound. The December 2025 contract increased 0.05% (0.25 US cents/pound), reaching 505.65 US cents/pound.

Rubber prices today, September 17, 2025: China sees a sharp increase.
In Singapore, the price of rubber futures for October 2025 rose 0.29% (US$0.5/tonne) compared to yesterday, reaching US$174.7/tonne. The November 2025 contract fell 0.22% (US$0.4/tonne), to US$173.9/tonne.

At the opening of trading on September 17th in China, the price of October 2025 rubber futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) rose 0.47% (70 yuan) to 14,980 yuan/tonne. The price of November 2025 rubber futures increased 0.37% (55 yuan) to 14,935 yuan/tonne.

At the time of this survey, RSS3 prices on the TOCOM Commodity Exchange (Tokyo) for September 2025 delivery were down 0.61% (2 Yen/kg) from yesterday, to 321 Yen/kg. The October 2025 contract was down 0.55% (1.8 Yen/kg), reaching 320.1 Yen/kg.

Cocoa prices today, September 17, 2025: Sharp decline across the board.
As of 4:00 AM on September 17, 2025, cocoa prices traded on the New York exchange for September 2025 delivery decreased by 1.82% (US$136/ton) compared to yesterday, falling to US$7315/ton. The December 2025 futures contract decreased by 0.33% (US$25/ton), reaching US$7406/ton.

At the time of this survey, London cocoa prices for December 2025 delivery were down 1.85% (97 GBP/tonne) compared to yesterday, at 5119 GBP/tonne. The March 2026 contract fell 1.72% (90 GBP/tonne), reaching 5099 GBP/tonne.
