USD exchange rate today September 25: Slight decrease
As of 5:00 a.m. on September 25, the USD exchange rate has shown a slight downward trend. The State Bank announced the central exchange rate at 25,186 VND/USD, 3 VND lower than yesterday.
With a trading band of ±5%, today's ceiling rate is 26,445 VND/USD, and the floor rate is 23,927 VND/USD.
At the State Bank of Vietnam, the reference exchange rate remained at 23,980 VND/USD for buying and 26,398 VND/USD for selling.
In the commercial banking system, the USD price has been adjusted differently. At Vietcombank, the exchange rate decreased by 3 VND in both directions, listed at 26,225 - 26,445 VND/USD.
BIDV raised the buying price by 7 VND but reduced the selling price by 3 VND, keeping it at 26,235 - 26,445 VND/USD.
Some other banks such as VietinBank, Techcombank, Eximbank or Sacombank also recorded slight fluctuations but not too large.
In the free market, the USD exchange rate remained stable compared to yesterday, trading around 26,484 VND/USD for buying and 26,584 VND/USD for selling.
In the world, the DXY index - a measure of the strength of the USD compared to major currencies - decreased by 0.13% to 97.22 points. The main reason comes from the expectation that the US Federal Reserve (FED) may continue to lower interest rates in October. This is the factor that causes the USD to weaken slightly compared to other foreign currencies.
Pepper price today September 25, 2025: Scattered increase
Pepper prices today in key growing areas increased sporadically compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 148,000 VND/kg to 150,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Gia Lai increased by 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Lam Dong (old Dak Nong) is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 149,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper price today in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is currently at 150,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 150,000 VND/kg.
In addition, today's pepper price in old Binh Phuoc increased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.
In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on September 25 (local time) as follows:
Indonesia’s Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,027 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,957 per tonne.
Brazilian ASTA black pepper price decreased slightly compared to yesterday at 6,500 USD/ton (down 1.54%).
Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,900/ton.
Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.
In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at 9,250 USD/ton.
Coffee price today September 25, 2025: Very sharp decrease
Domestic coffee prices today, September 25, 2025, in the Central Highlands region decreased sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 110,500 - 111,500 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 111,500 VND/kg, a sharp decrease of 3,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 111,500 VND/kg, down 3,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by VND2,800/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND111,200/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices decreased by 3,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are at 110,500 VND/kg.
On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures contract for November 2025 delivery reached 4,211 USD/ton, up 2.26% (93 USD/ton) compared to yesterday. The contract for January 2026 delivery increased 2.33% (95 USD/ton), to 4,174 USD/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 4.48% (15.7 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 365.85 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 increased by 3.61% (12.1 US cents/pound), to 347.15 US cents/pound.
On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 3.57% (15.15 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 439 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in December 2025 increased by 3.36% (14.15 US cents/pound) to 435 US cents/pound.
Oil price today September 25, 2025: Increase again
Oil prices jumped more than 1% as US inventories fell, while supplies from Russia, Venezuela and Kurdistan faced difficulties.
A report from the American Petroleum Institute (API) showed that US crude oil inventories fell last week. This information immediately pushed oil prices up sharply, reinforcing the belief that supplies are tightening. Brent crude rose 97 cents, or 1.4%, to $68.60 a barrel, while WTI rose 99 cents, or 1.6%, to $64.40 a barrel.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced new retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on September 18. Specifically as follows:
- E5 RON92 gasoline price increased by 230 VND, to a maximum of 19,986 VND/liter.
- RON95 gasoline price increased by 208 VND, reaching 20,608 VND/liter.
- E10 RON 95-III gasoline price increased sharply by 560 VND, reaching 20,600 VND/liter.
- Diesel oil increased by 62 VND to 18,705 VND/liter.
- Kerosene price increased by 176 VND to 18,544 VND/liter.
- Fuel oil price increased by 40 VND, to 15,130 VND/kg.
During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund.
Rubber price today September 25, 2025: Mixed increase and decrease
In Singapore, the price of rubber futures for October 2025 increased by 1.11% (1.9 USD/ton) compared to yesterday, to 173.4 USD/ton. The contract for November 2025 decreased by 1.08% (1.9 USD/ton) to 172.4 USD/ton.
At the opening session on September 25, in China, the October 2025 rubber futures price on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) increased by 0.24% (35 yuan) to 14,780 yuan/ton. The November 2025 rubber futures price increased by 0.14% (20 yuan) to 14,695 yuan/ton.
