The price of SJC gold bars listed by DOJI Group is 133 - 133 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price). At the same time, the price of gold bars listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) and PNJ is also 133 - 133 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price).

Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 134 - 133 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited, the price of gold bars was traded at 133 - 133 million VND/ounce (buying - selling).

USD exchange rate today, September 28, 2025

As of 7:00 AM on September 28th, the State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate at 25,194 VND/USD, unchanged from the previous session.

Within a fluctuation range of ±5%, commercial banks are permitted to trade at rates between VND 23,934/USD and VND 26,454/USD.

The State Bank of Vietnam listed the reference exchange rate at 24,985 - 26,403 VND/USD, remaining unchanged for both buying and selling rates.

Vietcombank listed the USD at 26,183 – 26,453 VND/USD, unchanged from yesterday.

Agribank maintained its exchange rate at 26,280 – 26,453 VND/USD, unchanged in both directions.

VietinBank adjusted its buying rate up by 4 dong to 26,310 VND/USD, while keeping the selling rate unchanged at 26,453 VND/USD.

Techcombank announced the exchange rate at 26,135 – 26,453 VND/USD, unchanged.

ACB maintained the exchange rate at 26,200 – 26,453 VND/USD.

SHB slightly lowered its buying rate by 5 dong to 26,080 VND/USD, while the selling rate remained at 26,453 VND/USD.

In the free market, the USD is trading at 26,490 VND/USD (buying rate) and 26,590 VND/USD (selling rate), unchanged from the previous morning session.

On the international market, the USD Index – a tool measuring the strength of the US dollar against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF) – has slightly decreased, currently standing at 97.82 points. This indicates that the USD is losing its dominance against the basket of currencies, creating some downward pressure on its value.

Pepper prices today, September 28, 2025

Today's pepper prices in key growing regions remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Therefore, the average domestic pepper price is between 148,000 VND/kg and 150,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.

Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.

Today's pepper price in Lam Dong (formerly Dak Nong) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 149,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is 150,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai also remains unchanged from yesterday at 150,000 VND/kg.

In addition, the price of pepper in Binh Phuoc today remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on September 28 (local time) as follows:

Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$6,945/tonne. Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,841/tonne.

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,500 per ton (down 1.54%).

Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,600/tonne. Similarly, ASTA white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$13,000/tonne.

Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) is 6,600 USD/ton; and the price of 550 gr/l is 6,800 USD/ton.

In addition, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,250 per ton.

Coffee prices today, September 28, 2025

Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, September 28, 2025, increased sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 114,300 and 115,700 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in the former Dak Nong region are buying coffee at the highest price of 115,700 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 115,500 VND/kg, an increase of 2,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 2700 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 115,300 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 2100 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 114,300 VND/kg.

On the London exchange, online robusta coffee futures contracts for November 2025 delivery reached $4201/tonne, up 2.61% ($107/tonne) from yesterday. The January 2026 contract rose 2.45% ($100/tonne) to $4182/tonne.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for December 2025 delivery rose 1.8% (6.7 US cents/lb) compared to yesterday, reaching 378.05 US cents/lb. The March 2026 contract increased 2.12% (7.45 US cents/lb), reaching 358.9 US cents/lb.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for December 2025 delivery rose 0.83% (3.75 US cents/lb) compared to yesterday, reaching 454.7 US cents/lb. The March 2026 contract increased 0.63% (2.8 US cents/lb), reaching 449.2 US cents/lb.

Gasoline and diesel prices today, September 28, 2025

Oil prices rose today as Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian energy infrastructure disrupted exports and heightened supply risks.

At the close of trading yesterday, Brent crude oil reached $70.13 per barrel, up 71 cents (1.02%). US WTI crude oil rose 74 cents (1.14%) to $65.72 per barrel. This was the strongest increase for both benchmark prices since mid-June.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced new retail fuel prices effective from 3 PM on September 25th. Specifically, they are as follows:

- The price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 370 VND/liter to 19,610 VND/liter.

- The price of RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 440 VND/liter, to 20,160 VND/liter.

- Diesel fuel prices decreased slightly by 50 VND/liter, to 18,650 VND/liter.

- The price of kerosene increased by 80 VND/liter to 18,620 VND/liter.

- The price of fuel oil increased by 70 VND/kg, to 15,200 VND/kg.

During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not allocate or utilize funds from the Price Stabilization Fund.

Rubber prices today, September 28, 2025

In Singapore, the price of rubber futures for October 2025 rose 0.35% (US$0.6/tonne) compared to yesterday, to US$173.7/tonne. The November 2025 contract fell 0.91% (US$1.6/tonne), to US$172.7/tonne.

At the opening of trading on September 28th in China, the price of October 2025 rubber futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) fell 1.01% (150 yuan) to 14,530 yuan/tonne. The price of November 2025 rubber futures also fell 1.01% (150 yuan) to 14,555 yuan/tonne.

At the time of this survey, the price of RSS3 on the TOCOM Commodity Exchange (Tokyo) for November 2025 delivery decreased by 3.23% (10.3 Yen/kg) compared to yesterday, to 307.2 Yen/kg. The December 2025 contract decreased by 3.08% (9.8 Yen/kg), reaching 307.5 Yen/kg.

As of 7:00 AM on September 28, 2025, cocoa prices traded on the New York exchange for December 2025 delivery fell 6.45% (US$480/ton) compared to yesterday, to US$6951/ton. The March 2026 contract decreased 4.92% (US$361/ton), reaching US$6961/ton.

At the time of this survey, London cocoa prices for December 2025 delivery were down 1% (49 GBP/tonne) compared to yesterday, at 4819 GBP/tonne. The March 2026 contract fell 0.87% (43 GBP/tonne), reaching 4845 GBP/tonne.
