The price of SJC gold bars, as listed by DOJI Group, is 136 - 138 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price). At the same time, the price of gold bars listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) and PNJ is also 136 - 138 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price).
Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 137-138 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited, gold bars were traded at 136-138 million VND/ounce (buying and selling).

USD exchange rate today, October 3, 2025: The central USD exchange rate remains unchanged.
As of 6:00 AM on October 3rd, the State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate at 25,177 VND/USD, a decrease of 10 dong compared to yesterday.
With a fluctuation margin of ±5%, the applicable ceiling exchange rate is 26,436 VND/USD and the floor exchange rate is 23,918 VND/USD.
At the State Bank of Vietnam's Exchange, the reference exchange rate remained at 23,969 VND/USD for buying and 26,385 VND/USD for selling.
Exchange rates at commercial banks also followed a downward trend. Vietcombank listed the USD at 26,185 VND/USD for buying and 26,435 VND/USD for selling, a decrease of 11 dong in both directions.
VietinBank is trading at 26,226 VND/USD for buying and 26,435 VND/USD for selling, a decrease of over 20 dong in the buying rate and 11 dong in the selling rate.
While banks simultaneously lowered exchange rates, the free market saw the opposite trend. The free market USD price increased by 25 dong in both buying and selling rates, trading around 26,515 VND/USD for buying and 26,615 VND/USD for selling.
On the international market, the Dollar Index (DXY) – a measure of the USD's strength against six major currencies – fell 0.07% to 97.70 points. The USD depreciated against many major currencies after reports showed a weakening US private sector job market last month.
The US dollar fell to a two-week low, trading at 147.07 Japanese yen. Against the euro, the USD also dropped to a one-week low, as the common European currency rose to $1.1738. The British pound recorded a 0.3% gain, reaching $1.3487, its highest level in a week.
Pepper prices today, October 3, 2025: No change.
Today's pepper prices in key growing regions remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Therefore, the average domestic pepper price is between 145,000 VND/kg and 146,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, in Gia Lai, the price of pepper today is 145,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Pepper prices in Ho Chi Minh City remained unchanged compared to yesterday, with traders buying pepper at 146,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, in Lam Dong, the price of pepper on the market, purchased by traders, remained unchanged from the previous day at 146,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dak Lak remain unchanged, recorded at 146,000 VND/kg.
On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on October 3rd (local time) as follows:
Specifically, the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,979 per ton. Additionally, the price of Muntok white pepper also remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,889 per ton.
The price of Brazilian ASTA black pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,500 per ton.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,600/ton. Similarly, ASTA white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$13,000/ton.
Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) is 6600 USD/ton; and (550 gr/l) is 6800 USD/ton.
In addition, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at 9250 USD/ton.
Coffee prices today, October 3, 2025: Sharp increase across the board.
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, October 3, 2025, increased sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 116,500 and 117,900 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the former Dak Nong region are buying coffee at the highest price of 117,900 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 1,900 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 117,700 VND/kg, an increase of 1,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 1,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 117,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 1,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 116,500 VND/kg.
On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures for November 2025 delivery reached $4323 per ton, down 1.82% ($80 per ton) from yesterday. The January 2026 futures contract fell 1.41% ($62 per ton), reaching $4326 per ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for December 2025 delivery fell 1.46% (5.65 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, reaching 378.25 US cents/pound. The March 2026 contract fell 1.5% (5.55 US cents/pound), to 362.5 US cents/pound.
On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for December 2025 delivery fell 0.85% (3.95 US cents/lb) compared to yesterday, to 456.05 US cents/lb. The March 2026 contract decreased 1.01% (4.65 US cents/lb), reaching 450.1 US cents/lb.
Fuel prices today, October 3, 2025: Domestic prices increased slightly.
Oil prices continued to fall, with Brent hitting its lowest level since June due to oversupply pressures and expectations of OPEC+ increasing production next month.
In trading on October 3rd, world oil prices continued their downward trend for the fourth consecutive day.
Brent crude futures fell 58 cents, or 0.9%, to $64.77 a barrel, its lowest level since early June. Similarly, US WTI crude also dropped 57 cents to $61.21 a barrel.
These are all the lowest prices in four months, reflecting investor concerns about oversupply.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced new retail fuel prices effective from 3 PM on October 2nd. Specifically, they are as follows:
- The price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 10 VND/liter, down to 19,620 VND/liter.
- The price of RON 95-III gasoline increased by 40 VND/liter, to 20,200 VND/liter.
- Diesel fuel prices increased slightly by 380 VND/liter, to 19,030 VND/liter.
- The price of kerosene increased by 380 VND/liter to 19,000 VND/liter.
- The price of fuel oil increased by 170 VND/kg, to 15,370 VND/kg.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, domestic fuel price fluctuations are heavily influenced by the international market. Over the past seven days, OPEC+ has increased production and is expected to further expand it in November.
In addition, rising US crude oil inventories and tensions in Ukraine disrupted energy supplies from Russia. These factors pushed global fuel prices higher than the previous period: the average price of RON 95 gasoline increased by 0.3% to $80.7 per barrel, diesel increased by 2.4%, and fuel oil increased by 1.75%.
Rubber prices today, October 3, 2025: Sharp decline in Tokyo and Shanghai
In Singapore, the price of rubber futures for October 2025 fell 1.67% (US$2.9/tonne) compared to yesterday, to US$170/tonne. The November 2025 contract rose 1.31% (US$2.2/tonne), reaching US$169.9/tonne.
At the opening of trading on October 3rd in China, the price of October 2025 rubber futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) fell 1.44% (210 yuan) to 14,265 yuan/tonne. The price of November 2025 rubber futures fell 0.75% (110 yuan) to 14,365 yuan/tonne.
At the time of this survey, RSS3 prices on the TOCOM Commodity Exchange (Tokyo) for November 2025 delivery were down 5.97% (19 Yen/kg) from yesterday, to 298.5 Yen/kg. The December 2025 contract fell 6.32% (20.1 Yen/kg), to 297.2 Yen/kg.

As of 6:00 AM on October 3, 2025, cocoa prices traded on the New York exchange for December 2025 delivery fell 12.42% (US$924/ton) compared to yesterday, to US$6,507/ton. The March 2026 contract decreased 10.7% (US$784/ton), reaching US$6,538/ton.
At the time of this survey, London cocoa prices for December 2025 delivery were down 2.98% (140 GBP/tonne) compared to yesterday, at 4550 GBP/tonne. The March 2026 contract fell 2.56% (121 GBP/tonne), reaching 4589 GBP/tonne.
